A clutch piston having opposite sides facing toward a control hydraulic chamber and a hydraulic canceler chamber. A division wall member forming the hydraulic canceler chamber between the division wall member and the clutch piston for forming an oil passage, which introduces lubricating oil toward the friction plates, in cooperation with the clutch inner. A control hydraulic chamber, hydraulic canceler chamber, and division wall member are arranged within a range corresponding to the space between the outer surfaces of a bearing plate portion and pressing plate portion and radially inward of a clutch actuation mechanism.

    摘要: In a twin clutch device used in an engine transmission, there are coaxially and adjacently arranged a first disk clutch and a second disk clutch of a hydraulic pressure type that displace a pressing member in an axial direction with externally supplied hydraulic pressure to exert a predetermined engagement force; and the first disk clutch and the second disk clutch respectively have: an engagement side hydraulic chamber that gives the pressing member a pressing force towards a clutch engagement side; and a pressure compensation hydraulic chamber that gives the pressing member a pressing force towards a clutch disengagement side to compensate a pressure of a returning action thereof. Furthermore in this twin clutch device, a plurality of pipes are internally and externally superposed and inserted into a main shaft connected to the first disk clutch and the second disk clutch, and each of a plurality of spaces within the main shaft divided by these pipes serves as an in-shaft oil passage that communicates with any one of the engagement side hydraulic chamber or the pressure compensation hydraulic chamber.

    摘要: A motorcycle with a low floor is configured such that secondary vibration of an engine can be largely reduced and an increase in engine width can be suppressed. The motorcycle with a low floor includes step floors on which to put a rider's feet on left and right sides of a vehicle body frame. An engine is provided between the step floors. A plurality of exhaust pipes extend respectively from cylinders of the engine, the exhaust pipes being gathered at a gathering portion. The engine is an in-line 3-cylinder engine having cylinder portions inclined forwardly. The exhaust pipes extend downwards from the cylinder portions on the basis of each cylinder. The exhaust pipes are bundled and extend on the right side of the engine, in a position on the lower side of one of the step floors.

    摘要: A power transmission device for transmitting power of an internal combustion engine of a motorcycle. By improving the arrangement of a continuously variable transmission, a balancer shaft and a drive pulley and a driven pulley of the continuously variable transmission, a lateral width and longitudinal length of a power unit are decreased thus making the power unit more compact. A continuously variable transmission is arranged behind a crankshaft, and a balancer is arranged between the continuously variable transmission and the crankshaft in a state wherein the balancer does not overlap the continuously variable transmission. A drive force of the crankshaft is transmitted to a drive pulley shaft of the continuously variable transmission by way of a gear of a balancer shaft. The approximate center of the crankshaft, the balancer and the respective pulleys of the continuously variable transmission are arranged on a vertical plane of a vehicle body center line.

    摘要: In an internal combustion engine provided with a decompression mechanism, a decompression cam that is rotatable with respect to a camshaft between first and second stop positions has a cam profile so that an exhaust valve is opened at the first stop position and is closed at the second stop position. The decompression cam is rotated in the reverse direction to the first stop position by rotating a crankshaft in the reverse direction by an electric motor at startup (position P1). Only the crankshaft is then rotated in the reverse direction (position p3), and the decompression cam is rotated in the normal direction by rotating the crankshaft in the normal direction by the electric motor. During either a compression strokes included within a range of a reverse rotation angle or the first compression stroke after initiation of normal rotation of the decompression cam until the decompression cam reaches the second stop position, the decompression cam opens the exhaust valve and increases the run-up angle of the crankshaft. The aforementioned method and device facilitates a piston overcoming the first compression top dead center decompression operation has stopped without unduly increasing the size and capacity of the required electric motor.

    摘要: To suitably keep the weight balance of an engine while reducing a radial dimension of the engine. A crank shaft and a transmission shaft are supported in casings and are disposed to be substantially parallel to each other. A rear balancer and a front balancer are disposed with the crank shaft placed therebetween. An AC generator is disposed at an end portion of the crank shaft on the left side with respect to a plane passing through a center of gravity of an engine and being perpendicular to the crank shaft. A clutch is disposed at an end portion of the transmission shaft on the right side with respect to the plane. The clutch is separated from the plane at a distance smaller than that between the AC generator and the plane, so that the weight balance of the engine is suitably maintained by disposing the rear balancer and the front balancer on the clutch side.

    摘要: A starter motor and balancers are disposed reasonably so as not to interfere with each other by effectively utilizing spaces in an engine. Cylinders are set so as to be tilted forward on casings supporting a crankshaft in a transverse position, a rear balancer and a starter motor are disposed in a space behind the cylinders, and a front balancer is disposed on an opposite side of the rear balancer with respect to the crankshaft. The rear balancer and the front balancer are disposed on the right side of a plane including the center of gravity of the engine and perpendicular to the crankshaft, and the starter motor is disposed on the left side of the plane. Weight portions included in the rear balancer and the front balancer are disposed close to the plane to prevent coupling vibrations.
