The method includes the steps of: forming a polycrystalline silicon layer including multiple protrusions by crystallizing the amorphous silicon layer according to a crystallization method in which the multiple protrusions are formed due to collision between crystal grains; patterning the polycrystalline silicon layer in an active pattern which includes only two protrusions of the multiple protrusions, which are apart from each other and located at both sides of a gate electrode-forming area; applying a barrier layer on the patterned polycrystalline silicon layer while partially covering the two protrusions; and forming a source electrode and a drain electrode at the protrusions of the polycrystalline silicon layer formed at both sides of the gate electrode-forming area by ion-implanting dopants into a resultant lamination.

    摘要: Disclosed herein are a plasma display apparatus and an image processing method thereof for preventing images from blurring when processing the images to improve image quality. The plasma display apparatus includes a low pass filter. The low pass filter includes a filtering value generation part for generating a filtering value to be allocated to the central cell in a block using gray scale values of a video signal, which are allocated to a plurality of cells segmented into unit blocks, a filtering determination part for comparing a difference between the filtering value and the gray scale value of the video signal, which is allocated to the central cell, with a predetermined threshold value to determine whether filtering is performed or not, and a filtering performing part for allocating the filtering value to the central cell when the difference is smaller than the predetermined threshold value.

    摘要: Provided are a rate 13/15 MTR code encoding/decoding method and apparatus. The encoding method includes: generating a predetermined rate-13/15 MTR code in which 13-bit data corresponds to 15-bit data; outputting input 13-bit data as a 15-bit codeword according to the rate-13/15 MTR code; checking whether codewords satisfy a predetermined constraint condition by connecting the 15-bit codeword and a subsequent 15-bit codeword; and converting specific bits of the codewords if the codewords violate the constraint condition and not converting the codewords if the codewords do not violate the constraint condition. The rate-13/15 MTR (j=2, k=8) code includes: 8192 codewords obtained to prevent the number of consecutive transitions from becoming 3 at code boundaries in a modulation coding process. Data can be reliably reproduced with high write density, and a large amount of data can be stored in and reproduced from a magnetic recording information storage medium.

    摘要: Disclosed is a method for forming a polycrystalline silicon film by crystallizing an amorphous silicon film. A mask has first to third shot regions having the same length. The first to third shot regions have transmission sections and non-transmission sections, which are alternately aligned. The transmission sections of the first shot region are positioned corresponding to the non-transmission sections of the second shot region, the non-transmission sections of the first shot region are positioned corresponding to the transmission sections of the second shot region, and the transmission sections of the third shot region are aligned corresponding to center portions of the transmission sections of the first and second shot regions. Primary to nth laser irradiation processes are performed with respect to the glass substrate, thereby crystallizing the amorphous silicon film into the polycrystalline silicon film.
