    摘要： A method of installing a self drilling anchor for use in a friable material mounted on a member comprising an elongated body having an axis, an axial bore adapted to receive an elongated fastener, a flared end having torque transmitting surfaces therein, a proximal portion, an intermediate portion, a distal portion, and a drilling tip generally opposite the flared end, wherein the proximal portion has a threaded exterior having a root, a crest diameter, and a thread height, the intermediate portion has a threaded exterior having a root, a crest diameter substantially smaller than the crest diameter of the proximal portion, and a thread height substantially smaller than the thread height of the proximal portion, and the distal portion has a threaded exterior with a root that tapers toward the drilling tip, a crest diameter substantially smaller than the crest diameter of the proximal portion, and a thread height substantially smaller than the thread height of the proximal portion.

    摘要： An improved protective jacket for insulated, angled pipe includes a metal jacket having a first portion and a second portion, each portion having a generally semi-circular cross-section, and including two or more fingers. Each of the fingers defines a fillet at a junction of the fingers and a baseline of the jacket. The fingers include a flat face at an inner angle and curve from the flat face to a superior surface of the jacket. A first finger is formed a minimum distance of about 0.5 inches from a second finger, and a width of the fingers is created by an isosceles triangle with a radius of curvature between about 0.3 inches and 0.5 inches.

    摘要： A modified air dam includes an integral spring-like, corrugate-shaped portion for absorbing impact forces imposed on the air dam. A lower portion of the air dam is generally planar and angled slightly from a vertical plane toward the front of the vehicle. The air dam also includes a rounded portion to provide a horizontal offset between upper and lower portions of the air dam and to direct airflow toward a bottom portion of the radiator. The air dam may also be curved side-to-side or employ an inverted, generally U-shaped portion as a first force absorbing region and a spaced rib that serves as a second force absorbing region. The generally U-shaped portion also advantageously extends over a fastener and mounting region of the air dam.

A clamping mechanism is provided and is operable to secure the mounting bar to another support that is positioned in the mounting slot.
