摘要: Provided is a storage system capable of holding data by associating main data for long-term retention with sub data for maintaining its readability. The storage system: stores first data in a first location within a storage area upon reception of a storage request for the first data with a first file identifier being specified; holds information for associating the first file identifier, the first location, a retention period of the data, and first version information with one another; stores second data in a second location within the storage area upon reception of a storage request for the second data with the first file identifier and second version information being specified; holds information for associating the first file identifier, the second location, and the second version information with one another; and inhibits the first data and the second data from being changed before elapse of the retention period of the data.

摘要: The invention provides a colored golf ball comprising a core, a cover having a plurality of dimples formed on its surface, wherein the golf ball is two-piece structure consisting of a core and a cover, and the surface of the ball is coated with a coating comprising a pearlescent pigment. The ball satisfies the following conditions: (i) a color difference ΔE* between the core and the ball of at least 30; (ii) the core has a transparency which is up to 10% in terms of total transmittance and up to 1.0% in terms of parallel transmittance; (iii) the core has a lightness L* value, expressed in the L*a*b* color system based on JIS Z8729, of at least 82; (iv) the ball has a lightness L* value of at least 50; (v) the lightness L* value of the ball≦the lightness L* value of the core; (vi) the cover has a thickness of from 0.1 to 2.1 mm, (vii) the cover has a transparency which is at least 50% in terms of total transmittance and at least 1.0% in terms of parallel transmittance; and (viii) the cover has a haze (H), mentioned in JIS K7105 (1981), of up to 98. The two-piece colored golf ball of the invention is a fluorescent ball which nonetheless retains a sense of transparency and has a high-quality feel, in addition to which it has a good weather resistance and is capable of preventing a change in color.

摘要: A data storage or management method is provided which allows both a content object-based access and a file-based access. A first request for storing a content object in accordance with the processing of an application program executed in a host is sent to an object archive control functionality executed in the host, an intermediate server, or a storage apparatus. The object archive control functionality generates an object identifier corresponding to the content object received in response to the first request, a directory name corresponding to the object identifier, and a plurality of file names corresponding to a plurality of fields contained in the content object. The storage apparatus stores a directory having the directory name and the plurality of files having the plurality of file names in accordance with the second request.

摘要: An embroidery lace machine is driven by electric signals. A plurality of selection plates control a jacquard and can move horizontally in response to control elements. A reset bar returns the selection plates to their original positions. In one embodiment, the control elements consist of plates aligned with the selection plates and biased into contact with the selection plates. Electrically actuated solenoids selectively prevent movement of selected ones of the control elements. In a second embodiment, the control elements are wires selectively engageable with a sliding plate. Electrically actuated solenoids are provided for selectively connecting the control elements with the sliding plate.
