Abstract: A method for treating a bifurcated vessel, wherein the bifurcated vessel has a main vessel and a side branch vessel extending from the main vessel. The method includes the steps of: identifying a site in the main vessel and placing a stent at the site in the main vessel. The stent includes a lattice defining a substantially cylindrical configuration having a proximal end portion and a distal end portion, and a middle portion between the proximal end portion and the distal end portion. The lattice is movable from a crimped state to an expanded state. The lattice has a plurality of adjacent hoops. Each hoop has a plurality of adjacent loops, a plurality of bridges connecting adjacent hoops, and a plurality of extensions on at least some portions of the lattice. Each of the hoops and bridges define a cell. The proximal end portion and the distal end portion of the lattice have at least one cell respectively and the middle portion of the lattice has at least one cell. The at least one cell of the middle portion has spacing between adjacent hoops that is greater than spacing between adjacent hoops of the at least one cell of the proximal end portion and the distal end portion respectively. The at least one cell of the middle portion is dilated adjacent the side branch vessel and a surface of the side branch vessel is supported with at least one of the plurality of the extensions by deformably moving the at least one of the plurality of extensions away from the lattice and into contact with the surface of the side branch vessel.

Abstract: Provided is a method of measuring threshold voltages in a NAND flash memory device. In the method, a test voltage is applied to a wordline of selected memory cells to measure a distribution profile of threshold voltages of memory cells. A voltage summing up a pass voltage and an operation voltage is applied to wordlines of deselected cells. The operation voltage is applied to a well and a common source line. A voltage summing up a precharge voltage and the operation voltage is applied to a bitline. After then, a voltage variation on the bitline can be detected to measure a threshold voltage of a memory cell. A negative threshold voltage can be measured by applying a positive voltage with reference to a voltage, as the threshold voltage of the memory cell, set by subtracting the operation voltage from the test voltage in accordance with the bitline voltage variation.

Abstract: Provided is a data input/output buffer and a semiconductor memory device using the same. A transistor of a switching means or a logical element out of devices constituting a data input/output buffer, to which a data signal is inputted most rapidly, is implemented using a low voltage-driven device whose threshold voltage is low. It is therefore possible to improve reliability of a circuit by exactly determining the level of a data signal even if the data signal is inputted as a level that is lowered as much as a threshold voltage.

Abstract: A device for deploying a mechanical closure device for closing a passageway in a body, for example a patent foramen ovale (PFO) in a heart. The deployment device has a first tubular structure having proximal and distal ends. A second tubular structure is substantially coaxial to and slideably engaged within the first tubular structure. The second tubular structure has a first substantially linear shape when constrained within the first tubular structure, and a second curvilinear shape when telescopically extended from the distal end of the first tubular structure. A third tubular structure is substantially coaxial to and slideably engaged within the second tubular structure. The third tubular structure is configured to provide sufficient rigidity to push the mechanical closure device from the distal end of the second tubular structure, and provide sufficient flexibility to assume a curvilinear shape when deflected by the second tubular structure.
