    摘要: Disclosed is a system and method for transmitting data from a first base station to a first destination subscriber station (DSS). The first base station is capable of transmitting data directly to the first DSS through a direct route. Co-channel interference is present at neighboring cells during the transmission of the data through the direct route. The method includes selecting a relay station from a plurality of relay stations for transmitting data to the first DSS via a relay route. The relay route includes a route from the first base station to the relay station and further from the relay station to the first DSS. A height of the relay station is lower than a height of the first base station. Further, the method includes transmitting the data through the relay route when a throughput of the relay route is greater than a throughput of the direct route by a predetermined threshold.

    摘要: Methods and apparatuses for reducing an amount of bandwidth required for feedback to a transmitter station in a closed-loop multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) system are described herein. The methods may include initially measuring at a receiver station channel qualities associated with receiving signals from a transmitter station for a first and a second spatial channel, the transmitter and receiver stations employing a closed-loop MIMO system. The receiver station may then determine a first and a second channel quality indicator (CQI) based on the measured channel qualities and may then transmit to the transmitter station the first and the second CQI to directly and indirectly identify a first and a second modulation coding scheme (MCS) entry among a plurality of ordered MCS entries, respectively. The second MCS entry being one of a selected subset of lower ordered MCS entries relative to the first MCS entry. The transmitter station may selectively use the first and the second identified MCS to transmit signals to the receiver station over the first and the second spatial channel, respectively.

    摘要: A wireless local area network (WLAN) includes an access point (AP), which provides communications channels to a plurality of stations. The AP supports spatial-division, multiple-access (SDMA) and accordingly includes a plurality of antenna subsystems. In order to achieve zero-forcing downlink beamforming, internal calibration procedures are occasionally performed within the AP. An internal calibration procedure includes an antenna subsystem transmitting a calibration signal. Received signals are measured at other antenna subsystems, and from these measurements, the transmit and receive chain gains are calculated for each antenna subsystem. One or more of these gains are adjusted to satisfy a primary condition, which is that the ratio of the transmit chain gain and the receive chain gain for all of the antenna subsystems are approximately equal (i.e., all of these ratios are equal to a calibration constant).

    摘要: The present disclosure relates to computer-implemented systems and methods for wireless display discovery. The method may include receiving, by a computer, a selection to detect wireless display devices. The computer may include one or more processors, a radio transceiver, and a microphone. The method may also include identifying, by the radio transceiver, a plurality of wireless display device and transmitting, by the radio transceiver, respective connection requests to the plurality of wireless display devices. Additionally, the method may include transmitting, by the radio transceiver to the wireless display devices, respective requests for inaudible audio signal transmission. The method may also include receiving, by the microphone, a plurality of inaudible audio signals from the wireless display devices. Further still, the method may include determining, based at least in part on the plurality of inaudible audio signals, whether any of the plurality of wireless display devices are in the same room as the computer.
