    摘要: A gate turn-off thyristor in which a cathode-emitter layer is divided into a plurality of strip-like regions which are radially arrayed on a major surface of a semiconductor substrate in a coaxial multi-ring pattern including a plurality of coaxially arrayed rings. The cathode-emitter strips belonging to a given one of the rings have some radial length. The cathode-emitter strips belonging to the inner ring of a coaxial multi-ring pattern have a smaller radial length than that of the cathode-emitter strips constituting the outer ring. A cathode electrode is contacted to the cathode-emitter strip in low resistance ohmic contact. A gate electrode is ohmic contacted with a low resistance to a cathode-base layer located adjacent to the cathode-emitter strip so as to enclose it. An anode electrode is ohmic contacted with a low resistance to the anode-emitter layer. With the structure of GTO, turn-off operation of unit GTO's each including a cathode-emitter strip is equalized.

    摘要: An image display device incorporates a group of pixels of two or more types, each pixel including a light source whose primary wavelength is specific to the type of pixel; a generating device for generating analog pixel signals to be input to the group of pixels from input digital pixel data, wherein the generating device has a converter to convert input digital pixel data into different output digital pixel data appropriate for each type of pixel where the output digital pixel data contains more bits than the input digital pixel data; and an input device for inputting the analog pixel signals to the group of pixels, each pixel including a light emission driver for driving the light source according to the analog pixel signal. An organic EL display device having individual R, G, and B light emission elements enables displaying in desired colors and controllable tones with reduced packaging area for the components of the organic EL display.

    摘要: A target-pixel-setting section (31) sets a target pixel in a target image to be predicted. A motion-direction-detecting section (32) detects a motion direction corresponding to the target pixel. A pixel-value-extracting section (36) extracts from peripheral images corresponding to the target image, in order to extract a main term that mainly contains component of the target pixel in a moving object that encounters a motion blur in the peripheral images, at least pixel values of pixels in the peripheral images whose space position roughly agree with space position of the target pixel. A processing-coefficient-setting section (37a) sets a specific motion-blur-removing-processing coefficient. A pixel-value-generating section (38a) newly generates pixel values for processing from the pixel values extracted by the pixel-value-extracting section (36) corresponding to the motion direction and generates pixel values corresponding to the target pixel based on the pixel values for processing and the specific motion-blur-removing-processing coefficients. It is possible to perform a robust motion-blur-removing processing on any shifts of motion vector.
