    摘要: Methane is used as the selective dehydrating agent for the production of 2,3,3,3-tetrafluoro-1-propene (R1234yf) from 2,2,3,3,3-pentafluoro-1-propanol. Supported transition metal catalysts are prepared and used for this reaction with high activity. Almost 58% selectivity to R1234yf is obtained at an alcohol conversion level of 60% using unsupported Ni-mesh as the catalyst. Pd and Pt show almost similar level of conversion; however, the selectivity to the desired product is low. The activity of the metal catalyst was found to be a function of the type of support material, activated carbon showing better activity than alumina. Different important process parameters such as temperature, pressure, and contact time are studied to optimize the process. High pressure and temperature are deleterious to the rate of 1234yf formation; yet, the highest yield to 1234yf is obtained while performing a reaction at 494° C. with a contact time of 23 sec.

    摘要: Disclosed in one embodiment is a process for the synthesis of 1,3,3,3-tetrafluoropropene that comprises (a) reacting a compound of formula (I) X1X2 with a compound of formula (II) CF3CH═CH2 to produce a reaction product comprising a compound of formula (III) CF3CHX1CH2X2, wherein X1 and X2 are each independently selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, chlorine, bromine and iodine, provided that X1 and X2 are not both hydrogen; (b) when X2 in formula (III) is not fluorine, fluorinating the compound of formula (III) to produce a reaction product comprising a compound of formula (III) wherein X1 is as described above and X2 is fluorine; and (c) exposing said compound of formula (III) to reaction conditions effective to convert said compound to 1,3,3,3-tetrafluoropropene. In another embodiment, the process comprises (a) reacting chlorine with a compound of formula (I) CH3CH═CH2 to produce a reaction product comprising a compound of formula (II) CCl3CHC1CH2C1; (b) fluorinating the compound of formula (II) to produce a reaction product comprising a compound of formula (III) CF3CHC1CH2F; and (c) exposing said compound of said formula (III) to reaction conditions effective to convert said compound to 1,3,3,3-tetrafluoropropene.

    摘要: Compositions for use in tri-layer applications are described herein, wherein the composition has a matrix and includes: a formulated polymer comprising at least one type of silicon-based moiety forming the matrix of the polymer, a plurality of vinyl groups coupled to the matrix of the polymer, and a plurality of phenyl groups coupled to the matrix of the polymer, at least one condensation catalyst, and at least one solvent. Tri-layer structures are also contemplated herein that comprise an organic underlayer (first layer), antireflective compositions and/or films contemplated herein (second layer) and a photoresist material (third layer) that are coupled to one another. Methods of producing a composition for tri-layer patterning applications includes: providing a formulated polymer comprising at least one type of silicon-based moiety forming the matrix of the polymer, a plurality of vinyl groups coupled to the matrix of the polymer, and a plurality of phenyl groups coupled to the matrix of the polymer, providing at least one condensation catalyst, providing at least one solvent, providing at least one pH modifier, blending the formulated polymer and part of the at least one solvent in a reaction vessel to form a reactive mixture; and incorporating the at least one pH modifier, the at least one condensation catalyst and the remaining at least one solvent into the reactive mixture to form the composition.
