摘要： In a slider using thermal expansion type, being adjustable on a flying height thereof, having problems to be solved, i.e., to reduce the electric power consumption, and to lesson the heat load upon a reproducing element thereof, wherein a heating device 4 is located separating from tip portions of the recording and reproducing elements 2 and 3. Also, for deforming only the vicinity of the heating device 4 and the recording and reproducing elements 2 and 3, so as to protrude from, the heating device 4 and the recording and reproducing elements 2 and 3 are surrounded by a resin film 6 of small rigidity, thereby increasing an amount of protrusion of the recording and reproducing elements 2 and 3 per a unit of electric power, but without increasing temperature of the reproducing element 3, with an aim of the structure of cutting off the force from materials of circumferences against the deformation.

摘要： A magnetic head slider includes a magnetic head mounting surface, a slider rail surface, a step air bearing surface, and a negative pressure groove. The magnetic head mounting surface is arranged in a center area with respect to a width of the slider near an air flow-out edge on the slider and mounts a magnetic head. The slider rail surface has a first depth from the magnetic head mounting surface and its width on an air flow-in side for the magnetic head is wider that its width on an air flow-out side for the magnetic head. The step air bearing surface is formed on an air flow-in side of the slider rail surface and has a second depth from the slider rail surface. The negative-pressure groove which formed on an air flow-in side of the step air bearing surface and has a third depth from the step air bearing surface.

摘要： An electrophotographic image forming apparatus includes a fixing unit having a heat roller and a press roller which abuts against and presses the heat roller. The image forming apparatus further includes at least one cleaning unit including a backup roller which abuts against and presses the heat roller in order to remove remaining toner attaching to a surface of the heat roller. The backup roller has a two-layer structure of a metal shaft core and a resilient layer, as an outer layer for the shaft core, made of a resilient body. The diameter of the backup roller gradually reduces from a projecting axial center of 10 mm to 30 mm toward two axial ends, so that an entire outer shape of the backup roller forms a crown or spindle like shape.

The slider rail surface includes a long sideways rail surface on an air flow-in side and a lengthwise rail surface on an air flow-out side. The nearest surface of the plurality of surfaces is arranged only in a center area with respect to a width of the slider near the air flow-out edge and has a width substantially less than the width of the slider. An area of the long sideways rail surface is larger than an area of the lengthwise rail surface.

The film or laminate of the present invention is suitable for use as a package, packaging container, or vacuum insulation material for articles which are apt to be deteriorated by oxygen, etc., such as foods, beverages, chemicals, medicines, and metallic precision parts; e.g., electronic parts. Furthermore, there can be provided a packaging material suitable for use with articles which are required to be reliably insulated from gases for prolonged periods and should be treated under high-temperature, hot-water conditions as in boiling or pressurized high-temperature sterilization.

摘要： A magnetic disk apparatus includes a rotation mechanism for driving a magnetic disk, a magnetic head slider being floated in close proximity to a surface of the magnetic disk, a recording/reproduction element for performing recording and playback of information, a drive unit for causing a distance between the record/reproduction element and the magnetic disk to change, and means for performing position determination of the magnetic head slider, wherein the apparatus has a detection unit for permitting the drive unit to gradually reduce the distance between the record/reproduction element and the magnetic disk and for detecting occurrence of contact therebetween, and a control unit for controlling the drive unit in such a way as to cause, the record/reproduction element to shift in position by a fixed amount to thereby let the distance between this element and magnetic disk increase accordingly.
