    摘要: A metering pump made of plastic for the metered dispensing of liquid and/or pasty media from a bottle-like container, can-like container or tube-like container with a follower piston. A pump chamber delivering the medium is connected via a suction valve with the container and has as the pumping member an elastic bellows that forms the pump chamber and is arranged between a dimensionally stable lower housing part and a likewise dimensionally stable upper housing part that is telescopically movable in relation thereto. The upper housing part has the discharge opening, which is connected via a discharge channel and a discharge valve with the pump chamber. The bellows has an upper ring collar sealingly surrounding a ring wall of the upper housing part. The ring wall is provided with a displacement piston that has a smaller diameter and protrudes into the bellows. To make it possible to accurately meter the quantities of the medium to be pumped that are to be metered, provisions are made for the displacement piston to be closed at its lower end and to be provided in the upper end area of the pump chamber with at least one passage opening, which connects the pump chamber with the discharge valve.

    摘要: For meteredly dispensing a liquid over a period of several months from a container which can be stored over a long period of time, the need is for a container which is practically diffusion-tight and in which the liquid does not come into contact with the ambient atmosphere. The cartridge according to the invention is a three-shell container comprising a collapsible bag which contains the liquid, a container which is stable in respect of shape and a stiff metal casing. The cartridge can be releasably connected to a dispensing device. The cartridge can be provided with a micro-opening with which the time for pressure equalisation between the cartridge and the ambient atmosphere can be adjusted. The cartridge is suitable for aqueous and for alcoholic liquids which contain a pharmaceutically active substance. The liquid in the cartridge is protected from external influences. The cartridge can be used in an atomiser for producing an inhalable aerosol for the treatment of illnesses.

The trigger assembly is positioned under the outlet for the household liquid for easy actuation by an upturned hand.

    摘要: A system for packaging and dispensing liquid includes a glass vial, a metering pump and an assembly element. The vial, which defines a volume for receiving and containing the liquid, has a body, neck and tip. The neck and tip are joined at a line of weakness, and the vial is opened by snap-off removal of the tip at the weakness. The metering pump has a tubular body with a dip tube projecting downward, and a push-button dispensing head with a piston disposed for movement within the pump body, with a hollow rod defining an ejection duct projecting upwards. The pump body defines a vent closed by the piston at rest, and, in a mid-region, defines a shoulder for supporting engagement upon a lip of the vial neck. The assembly element, disposed for sealing engagement between the pump and vial, includes an elastically deformable sleeve fixed in sealed engagement upon a top portion of the pump body by a waist-band, with a skirt extending from the waist-band into sealing engagement against an exterior wall surface of the vial.

    摘要: The present invention relates to a dispenser for dispensing medications into the nostril. The device has a number of advantageous features. First, the device includes air grooves in the spray head to allow the drawing in of air into the nostril during dispensing, to assist in the intake of the dispensed medication. Second, the device contains a mechanism for varying the amount of the dose dispensed. This feature is advantageous in that it allows an accurate metered dose to be dispensed, while still allowing flexibility in the size of the dose dispensed. The device can also have indicia for indicating when the last dose was dispensed, and can include a disinfecting feature for the spray head. The device can also have a gripping feature which spaces the fingers from the nostril into which medication is dispensed.

    摘要: A fountain toothbrush is described which comprises a bristle carrier having bristles, a handle containing a reservoir for liquid or pasty dentifrice, a duct leading from the reservoir to the bristles, and actuating means which urge the reservoir in a direction out of the handle. A piston has a passage connected to the duct and to the interior of the reservoir and a cylinder sleeve part is provided on the reservoir into which the piston protrudes. When the piston is pushed into the sleeve part towards the reservoir, dentifrice is conveyed onto the bristles. To achieve a hermetic sealing and simultaneously a more exact dosage of the dentifrice, the piston further comprises a valve body which is displaceable relative to the piston and adapted for obturating, toward the end of each stroke of the piston into the sleeve part of the reservoir, an opening connecting the interior of the reservoir with the interior of the sleeve part, and frees this opening again when the piston and the sleeve part are displaced away from one another.
