Abstract:
A conveying device (1) which is particular in that the conveying device comprises a plurality of conveying elements (2), where each conveying element (2) comprises a chain box element (4) in which at least one transport roller (3) is rotatably fixed such that rollers (3) arranged in adjacent conveying elements (2) define the conveying device transport plane, and that chain box elements (4) of adjacent conveying elements are interconnected in such a way that one conveying element may articulate in relation to adjacent conveying elements, and that at least some of the chain box elements in the conveying device comprise drive elements directly engaging and rotating the transport rollers (3).
Abstract:
The present invention aims at preventing sanitary tissue paper from being torn when it is removed. The purpose is accomplished by sanitary tissue paper of single-ply or double-plies, characterized in that said paper has a lateral tensile strength on a dry condition of 32 N/m or more, a longitudinal tensile strength on a wet condition 32 N/m or more, and a longitudinal tensile strength on a dry condition which is 2.5 to 3.5 times higher than the lateral tensile strength on a dry condition.
Abstract:
A device for handling packets of cigarettes has two drying beams, each for feeding a line of packets to an intermediate station; and two transfer units, each for transferring the incoming packets from a respective drying beam from the intermediate station to a single output conveyor; the transfer units and the output conveyor are powered by the same motor, and the speed of the drying beams is so regulated that the packets are fed to the intermediate station in phase with the movement of the transfer units.
Abstract:
An automated order mixing system includes a mixing sub-system having a plurality of angled vertically stacked product guides feeding a mixing conveyor whereon a client's order of product cases is processed, the vertical stacking enabling the creation of a number of product feed paths within a relatively small floor space.
Abstract:
A machine with conveyor belts for cardboard boxes is provided with a device for the time control of the movement of the belts which, in the absence of boxes, automatically stops the movement of the belts after a pre-set time. The aforesaid device comprises a photoelectric cell located at the entrance of the machine, a switch for the control of the power supply to motorization means of the belts and a timer which in the case of detection of the absence of box by said sensitive means controls after a pre-set time said switch to set itself in a state of interruption of the power supply to said motorization means.
Abstract:
A process for handling objects, such as packages, by means of a materials handling device, such as a multiaxial industrial robot, with a gripping means, is characterized in that coordinates of a position, dimension and/or orientation of a number of objects are first determined, and individual gripping elements of the gripping means are subsequently actuated on the basis of the coordinates for gripping the objects. A gripping means, in which gripping elements can be activated and deactivated individually, is used according to the present invention in the course of the above-mentioned process. Handling operations, for example, commissioning processes, can thus be optimized in terms of the duration of the process.
Abstract:
A conveyor system, and method of controlling the conveyor system, includes providing a conveying surface, at least one motor propelling the conveying surface and a plurality of lower-level controllers. At least one of the lower-level controllers adapted to control the at least one motor. An upper-level controller is provided in communication with the plurality of lower-level controllers. The upper-level controller is adapted to send communications to the lower-level controllers for controlling the at least one motor. A communications bus is provided that carries the communications between the upper-level controller and the lower-level controllers. The upper-level controller is adapted to automatically assign each lower-level controller a unique communications address. The unique communications address enables the upper-level controller to send messages over the communications bus to individual ones of the lower-level controllers.
Abstract:
The problem of potentially damaging a pallet layer that is gripped by clamps of a depalletizing tool is solved i) by detecting the real position of the layer using a pad on the tool that is movable with the clamps towards the pallet layer and whose detected stopping position determines the real position of the layer, and ii) while the layer is gripped by the clamp, by inserting under the layer curtains; the pressure on the layer by the clamps being adapted to the ease to go underneath the layer.
