摘要: Apparatus for the deposition of a uniform web of dry wood pulp fibers on a forming wire in combination with melt blowing die means operable to deposit melt blown fibers on the web of dry fibers to strengthen the web. Means for depositing the webs comprise serially disposed sets of fiber distributors, and the die means is disposed between the sets of fiber distributors so that the melt blown fibers are deposited as separate layers on the finished web.

摘要: A novel web that can be produced by the process of the present invention is comprised of two different types of fibers, with the web characterized by having a predominance of one fiber type at one of its major faces, and a predominance of the other fiber type at the other of its major faces. The web includes a transition between the faces in which the predominance of the fibers decreases uniformly away from the face at which they predominate.

摘要: The present invention is directed towards a method for spinning neutral or anionically modified cellulose comprising the steps of: (a) preparing a suspension of the neutral or anionically modified cellulose in a continuous phase; (b) subjecting the suspension to high shear rate; (c) performing spinning by extruding the cellulose suspension into an airgap region comprising at least one heated zone to obtain spun fibers, (d) subjecting the spun fibers to at least one washing stages and (e) isolating the spun fibers from the at least one washing stages; as well as fibers obtained based on the method of the invention and paper or board products derived from such fibers.

摘要: A method to prepare aqueous furnishes useful as feedstock in the manufacture of very high-mineral content products, particularly paper sheets having mineral filler content up to 90% that display the required physical properties for the intended applications; the furnishes comprise fibrillated long fibers/mineral fillers mixed with anionic acrylic binders and co-additives, in presence or absence of cellulose fibrils; the fibrillated long fibers and cellulose fibrils provide high surface area for greater filler fixation and the reinforcement backbone network that ties all of the product components together; the anionic binders allow rapid and strong fixation of filler particles onto the surfaces of fibrils when mixing is conducted at temperatures higher than the glass transition temperature (Tg) of the binder. The aqueous furnish provides excellent filler retention and drainage during product fabrication.

摘要: Paper which exhibits more favorable forgery prevention effect is provided. Paper contains first and second surface regions opposed to each other and an intermediate region interposed between the first and second surface regions. Each of the first and second surface regions and the intermediate region contains cellulose fibers. At least the first surface region further comprises functional fibers which, upon reception of a physical stimulus, make a response different from that made by the cellulose fibers to the physical stimulus. The functional fibers contained in the first surface region are mingled with the cellulose fibers in the first surface region and are oriented in one direction which is parallel or oblique to one main surface of the paper.
