    摘要： The present invention relates to a coating apparatus having a removable coating module for applying a protective coating to at least one surface of a photosensitive material. The coating apparatus can be a stand-alone unit and can be added to an existing or new photographic processor. The coating product can be a solution having a predetermined viscosity which is applied to at least one surface of the photosensitive material prior to drying in a manner that allows the solution to be uniformly applied to the at least one surface at a specific layer thickness. The viscous solution after drying functions as a protective coating which can protect the processed photosensitive material against scratches and moisture. The removable coating module facilitates maintenance and cleaning after the viscous solution has been consumed. The apparatus includes a control mechanism which controls the thickness, uniformity and laydown amount of the applied viscous solution so as to insure that a uniform coating that provides protection to the entire surface of the photosensitive material is provided.

    摘要： The present invention is an imaged photographic element having a protective overcoat thereon. The protective overcoat is formed by providing a photographic element having at least one silver halide light-sensitive emulsion layer; and applying an aqueous coating comprising polymer particles having an average size of 0.1 to 50 microns at a weight percent of 5 to 50 percent, a soft polymer latex binder at a weight percent of 1 to 3 percent, over the at least one silver halide light-sensitive emulsion layer. The silver halide light sensitive emulsion layer is developed to provide an imaged photographic element. The hydrophobic polymer particles is fused to form a protective overcoat.

    摘要： An aperture pattern-printing plate used for manufacturing a shadow mask, which comprises a transparent substrate, and an emulsion layer which is formed on the transparent substrate and which is opaque at portions corresponding to apertures of the shadow mask and transparent at other portions, wherein the emulsion layer is overlaid with at least one of the following a substantially-amorphous, transparent scratch-preventing film obtained by hydrolysis and condensation of metal alcoholate and having a thickness of not more than 1.5 .mu.m, and a foreign matter-preventing film formed substantially of silicone and having a thickness of not more than 0.5 .mu.m. The foreign matter-preventing film is formed on the scratch-preventing film if the foreign matter-preventing film and scratch-preventing film are both formed.

    摘要： A card with a photograph is of at least four-layer structure. The card includes: a display sheet made by printing a composite image of a portrait image and a character image such as a name on a photographic paper; a plastic frame sheet in which the display sheet is fitted; at least one plastic core sheet attached to the back surface of the frame sheet; a transparent plastic first cover sheet attached to the front surface of the frame sheet; a second cover sheet attached to the back surface of the core sheet; and an adhesive layer bonding the display sheet and the first cover sheet. The frame sheet, at least one core sheet, and the two cover sheets are made of a heat and pressure-weldable plastic such as a polyvinyl chloride resin. These four sheets are stacked one upon another, sandwiched between two ferro-type plates, and pressure-welded with heat, so that the four plastic sheets are pressure-welded with heat and the display sheet and the first cover sheet are heat-sealed. Lastly, the four sheets are punched out using a punching-out cutter to form a card with a narrow frame sheet remaining around the display sheet.
