    Abstract: A communication plug is described. The communication plug has a communication cable with a plurality of conductors, a plug housing, and a cable manager partially enclosed, within the plug housing. The cable manager has a load bar with a plurality of holes, a first cable management section connected to the load bar via a first hinge, and a second cable management section connected to the load bar via a second hinge. The first and second cable management sections are configured to fold together and partially enclose the cable before the cable manager is inserted into the plug housing.

    Abstract: A patch cord for an intelligent patching system is provided. The patch cord is a ten-wire patch cord having a patch panel plug and a switch plug. The patch panel plug contains ninth and tenth wire contacts that interface with ninth and tenth wire contacts of an intelligent patch panel port. The switch plug is provided with a plunger-style switch that enables the intelligent patch panel to determine when the switch plug is plugged into a switch port. The switch plug is also provided with LED's and circuitry that controls the LED's.

    Abstract: A structure of security and protection for connection socket includes a connection socket, a connection block, a resilient member, and a security member. The connection socket forms a receiving space and a slide channel. The slide channel is located at one side of the receiving space. The connection block is coupled to a rear end of the connection socket and forms a positioning section. The resilient member includes at least one resilient engagement section and is arranged in the positioning section of the connection block. The security member has an end forming a bar section that forms at a rear side thereof a barb section. The barb section is coupled to the at least one resilient engagement section of the resilient member. The bar section has two ends extending rearward to connect to a plate section. The security member is received in the slide channel of the connection socket.

    Abstract: A modular plug includes a plug housing, plug contacts held by the plug housing, and a stuffer cap coupled to the plug housing. The stuffer cap includes a cable channel configured to receive a cable therein. The stuffer cap includes an interior side that defines at least a portion of the cable channel. The modular plug includes a strain relief member held by the plug housing. The strain relief member includes a base and a spring beam extending from the base such that the spring beam is cantilevered from the base. The spring beam is configured to engage the cable and thereby pinch the cable between the interior side of the stuffer cap and the spring beam.

    Abstract: A spring assembly for a communications jack including a plurality of jack contacts each electrically connectable to a corresponding plug contact of a communications plug. First and second jack contacts carry a first differential signal. Fifth and sixth jack contacts carry a second differential signal. The jack contacts carrying the first differential signal are adjacent a third jack contract and the jack contacts carrying the second differential signal are adjacent a fourth jack contract. For each jack contact, the assembly has a conductive spring member electrically connected to the jack contact that biases the jack contact against a corresponding plug contact. To reduce crosstalk, the spring members connected to the first and second jack contacts are each capacitively coupled to the fourth jack contact, and the spring members connected to the fifth and sixth jack contacts are each capacitively coupled to the third jack contact.
