摘要: A radiation therapy system includes an X-ray imaging system that is configured with a combined and simplified filter and collimator positioning mechanism. In addition, an X-ray imager of the RT system is only positioned at a few discrete locations within a plane that is a fixed distance from the imaging X-ray source when generating X-ray images. As a result, for each of these discrete imaging positions, the simplified filter and collimator positioning mechanism positions a specific collimator-filter combination in a specific location between the X-ray source and the imager.

摘要: A motion-enable device includes a mechanical switch and a capacitive sensor with a sensing region that is located adjacent to the mechanical switch. The mechanical switch enables a first signal when closed or actuated that indicates that the mechanical switch is in an active state. The capacitive sensor enables a second signal when a conductive object is disposed in the sensing region, where the second signal indicates that the capacitive sensor is in an active state. Enablement of operation of an apparatus depends on receipt of both the first signal and the second signal. The mechanical switch and the capacitive sensor act as the two separate switches required by functional safety requirements for a motion enable device. Because the sensing region of the capacitive sensor is adjacent to the mechanical switch, the first and second signals are generated when an operator actuates the mechanical switch with a single digit.

摘要: There is provided voltage switching circuitry (100) for an X-ray tube (10). The voltage switching circuitry comprises a plurality of waveform generators (102) connectable to an output (14) of a voltage generator (12) for supplying an operating voltage to the X-ray tube. Each waveform generator is configured to generate a waveform. At least a first said waveform generator is configured to generate a first sinusoidal waveform having a first frequency and at least a second said waveform generator is configured to generate a second sinusoidal waveform having a second frequency. The second frequency differs from the first frequency by at least a factor of two. The voltage switching circuitry is configured to combine the waveforms at the output to switch the operating voltage between at least two different voltage levels. A plurality of the waveform generators (102) further comprise resonators (202, 204) and amplifiers (206) configured to excite resonance in the respective resonators, wherein the voltage switching circuitry (100) is further configured to switch at least one of the amplifiers which is not being used to excite resonance to generate harmonics for reducing over- or undervoltage when switching the opening voltage between the at least two different voltage levels. The voltage switching circuitry further comprises control circuitry configured to control the switching of the amplifiers.

摘要: A method of setting operating conditions of a detector in an imaging system includes searching for a detector that is not registered in the imaging system; acquiring detector profile information from the searched detector; registering the detector based on the detector profile information; allocating a predetermined marker to the registered detector to represent activation or non-activation thereof; transmitting control information including the allocated predetermined marker to the detector; receiving detector correction information from the detector; and setting operating conditions of the detector based on the received detector correction information.

摘要: The invention is a device for controlling the amount of radiation emitted during the process of imaging, particularly by instruments capable of radiation-based real-time imaging, such as fluoroscopy and cine acquisition. The related device comprises a pressure-sensitive foot controller (1), a pressure sensor (2), a signal transmitter (3), a signal converter (4), and signal processing software (5). The invention enables real-time controlling of the image quality and the image frame rate by means of a foot-switcher with the new function of being driven by a pressure-sensitive controller.

摘要: Systems and methods are provided for generating X-ray pulses during X-ray imaging. A high voltage of an X-ray tube is automatically switched off. The tube voltage decays and upon reaching a predefined threshold value of the tube voltage or a predefined waiting time after switching off the high voltage, a grating voltage of a grating arranged between an emitter and an anode of the X-ray tube is automatically switched on. No electrons reach the anode from the emitter, and the tube current drops to the value zero.

摘要: In order to provide an X-ray CT apparatus which reduces a waiting time period until irradiation with X-rays is permitted with a simple configuration without detecting a rotation speed of an anode, a controller (23) selects a rating anode rotation speed among a plurality of types thereof depending on an X-ray irradiation condition, and supplies driving power for realizing the selected rating anode rotation speed to a stator coil (81) from a starter circuit (10). The controller (23) obtains time required to reach an irradiation possible rotation speed which is lower than the rating anode rotation speed and is required to apply X-rays in an X-ray irradiation condition. If arrival time has elapsed, irradiation with X-rays is permitted. Consequently, it is possible to reduce a waiting time period in which an operator waits for an anode rotation speed to rise.
