摘要: A circuit comprises a Sallen-Key filter, which includes a source follower that implements a unity-gain amplifier; and a programmable-gain amplifier coupled to the Sallen-Key filter. The circuit enables programmable gain via adjustment to a current mirror copying ratio in the programmable-gain amplifier, which decouples the bandwidth of the circuit from its gain settings. The programmable-gain amplifier can comprise a differential voltage-to-current converter, a current mirror pair, and programmable output gain stages. The Sallen-Key filter and at least one branch in the programmable-gain amplifier can comprise transistors arranged in identical circuit configurations.

摘要: A composite resonance circuit is provided of which the resonance frequency range can be set with greater degrees of freedom with the peak frequency of the resonance characteristic curve of a resonance unit having good linearity and the resonance sharpness Q-factor being kept within a desired range. In the composite resonance circuit according to the present invention, first and second relay circuits are respectively connected between the resonance unit and first and second phase shift circuits that shift an input frequency signal by different phases. Hence, the resonance frequency range can be set by setting the gains and impedances of the first and second relay circuits according to its use, without changing resonance elements or the like of the resonance unit.

摘要: A device and method for correcting an amplitude slope in the frequency domain of an input signal. An amplitude slope is detected in parallel feedback loops that connect the combined output of two parallel out-of-band notch filters through a slope detection circuit to inputs of each of the two notch filters. Each feedback loop detects the energy at one of the high and low frequencies that define the frequency domain of the input signal, and provides a voltage indicative of the energy back to the notch filters to vary the Q of the notch filters, thereby correcting the amplitude slope. The energy is detected in each feedback loop by mixing the input signal with one of the high and low frequencies that define the frequency domain of the input signal, and filtering out all but the DC voltage indicative of the energy at the one frequency. The DC voltage changes the resistance of an element in the notch filters to vary Q.

摘要: Left and right stereo power amplifiers receive power from the 12-volt D.C. automobile supply bypassed by a single capacitor for both amplifiers and energize left and right loudspeakers in series with the junction of the series-connected speakers coupled to ground through a capacitor that allows the left and right speakers to be independently driven by the left and right power amplifiers, respectively, by spectral components above the crossover frequency determined by the speaker impedance and the capacitor impedance. Each power amplifier is driven by an equalizing circuit including a photocell illuminated by an LED that is driven by a feedback signal from the power amplifier.

摘要: Disclosed herein are signal amplifiers having a plurality of amplifier cores. Individual amplifier cores can be designed to enhance particular advantages while reducing other disadvantages. The signal amplifier can then switch between amplifier cores in a particular gain mode to achieve desired performance characteristics (e.g., improving noise figure or linearity). Examples of signal amplifiers disclosed herein include amplifier architectures with a low noise figure amplifier core that reduces the noise figure and a linearity boost amplifier core that increases linearity. The disclosed signal amplifiers can switch between a first active core and a second active core for a single or particular gain mode to achieve desired signal characteristics during different time periods.

摘要: The disclosed technology is related to a radio-frequency (RF) amplifier having a bypass circuit and a resonant structure to improve performance in a bypass mode (e.g., a low gain mode). The disclosed amplifiers have a resonant structure that effectively isolates an amplifier core from a bypass circuit. For example, in a bypass mode, the resonant structure is configured to create an open impedance looking into the amplifier core input. This effectively removes any loading from the amplifier core to the bypass circuit. The disclosed amplifiers with resonant structures improve linearity performance in bypass modes due at least in part to the open impedance to the amplifier core provided by the resonant structure.
