Abstract:
An apparatus for producing a printed circuit board on a substrate, has a table for supporting the substrate, a function head configured to effect printing conductive and non- conductive materials on the substrate, a positioner configured to effect movement of the function head relative to the table, and a controller configured to operate the function head and the positioner to effect the printing of conductive and non-conductive materials on the substrate. The apparatus optionally has a layout translation module configured to accept PCB multilayer circuit board files and convert multilayer circuit board layout data of the PCB multilayer circuit board files to printing data files for controlling the function head to print conductive material and nonconductive material onto the substrate to produce a printed circuit effecting functionality of the multilayer circuit board layout data.
Abstract:
In various embodiments, a system for controlling radiotherapy equipment in a treatment environment includes a controller for receiving, from one or more image capture devices, data indicating the position of one or more objects in the treatment environment. Based on the position data, the controller defines one or more exclusionary zones from which the radiotherapy equipment is excluded. Each zone has a buffer area surrounding one or more of the objects. The controller further directs the radiotherapy equipment such that a radiotherapy treatment plan is delivered without the equipment entering into the exclusionary zones.
Abstract:
The invention provides a method of treating a tumor or other lesion comprising introducing a solution comprising one or more radioactive isotopes directly into said tumor or other lesion in a mammal to effect in situ precipitation of a radioactive precipitate in the tumor or other lesion.
Abstract:
The absorbent menstrual cup solves the problem of spillage while removing a menstrual cup by combining a flexible menstrual cup with a non-removable absorbent layer.
Abstract:
A maze-type coin bank includes a housing having a wall, an inlet opening and an exit door. A lock is mounted to one of the wall and the exit door for selectively opening the exit door. A three-dimensional track construction is held in the housing and includes a plurality of sections extending along different axes which accommodate an associated coin for movement along the track construction. The track construction includes a coin entrance portion communicating with the inlet opening and a maze solution portion. Solving the maze involves placing a coin in the maze solution portion of the track construction in order to facilitate the opening of the exit door.
Abstract:
An apparatus and a method for dispersing particulate materials prone to agglomeration, in a liquid. Particulate materials are exposed to a liquid and put into that liquid to form a suspension or a dispersion in a controlled method thereby minimizing agglomerates. The method uses mechanical/hydro mixing that prevents the physical deterioration of the particulate material and inhibits agglomeration of the particles. In many cases, these materials may be nanomaterials. Almost all particulate materials, can be handled in this manner. This method has been found to be especially useful for preparing solutions of exfoliated graphene and certain drugs.
Abstract:
The interchangeable wedged heel covering device for modifying the appearance of footwear, thereby enabling a user to wear a single pair of shoes in a variety of styles. The interchangeable wedged heel covering device includes a heel cover that removably secures to the surface of a wedged heel. The heel cover is composed of a rigid material so as to form to the corresponding shape of the heel. The heel cover includes a lip disposed along the upper edge in order to stabilize and prevent movement of the device while in use. In an alternative embodiment, the device is composed of flexible material having an adhesive disposed on the interior thereof so as to removably secure the heel cover to the heel. The lower end of the device further includes one or more removable sections so as to adjust the length of the heel cover to fit various sized heels.
Abstract:
A content management system is disclosed for documents and other content for a system operating in legal environment referred to herein as a case management system. The case management system allows attorneys in a legal environment to efficiently store and manage content for their client and case matters. Furthermore, the system encourages attorneys to collaborate with fellow co-workers, clients, and third parties (e.g. expert witnesses) in a secure and confidential environment. The case management system enables attorneys to maintain case files and associated documents more efficiently and thus allow law firms to more productively function as a business that relies heavily upon comprehensive document files.
Abstract:
A capacitive touch panel is tested for the presence or absence of short and open circuits in drive and sense lines without the use of a tool that touches the surface of the panel. During a first stage of testing, drive lines of the touch panel are sequentially driven while the remaining drive lines are floated. Sense lines are read to indicate whether a driven drive line is shorted to an adjacent drive line, an open circuit, or coupled to a sense line that is an open circuit. During a second stage of testing, drive lines are driven while alternate sense lines are floated or enabled. The signals on the enabled sense lines are acquired to indicate whether the enabled sense lines are shorted to adjacent sense lines. This second stage can be repeated, switching the roles of the sense lines, to determine the locations of short and/or open circuits.
Abstract:
The present invention is directed to a separation medium comprising rotary dried or spray dried precipitated silica. The silica has a pore surface area P wherein log10 P>2.2, and the ratio of BET to CTAB is at least 1.0 measured prior to any surface modification of the silica. The present invention is further directed to a method of separating suspended or dissolved materials from a fluid stream, comprising contacting the stream with the separation medium described above.
