Abstract:
Thermally conductive materials comprising an olefin block composite and a thermally conductive filler, where the thermally conductive filler is present in an amount sufficient to increase the thermal conductivity of the olefin block composite relative to the olefin block composite in its neat state. Such thermally conductive materials can be used in various articles of manufacture, such as a thermal interface material or a molded heat dissipation component.

A dielectric fluid comprising in weight percent based on the weight of the composition: A. 30 to 70% C18:1 fatty acids; B. 10 to 55% of a mixture of C8 and C10 fatty acids in which the mixture comprises 50 to 70 wt %, based on the weight of the mixture, of C8 fatty acids; C. No more than 13% polyunsaturated fatty acids; and D. No more than 7% of saturated fatty acids of which each contains at least 12 carbon atoms.
Abstract:
Epoxidized fatty acid alkyl ester and methods for making epoxidized fatty acid alkyl ester. The epoxidized fatty acid alkyl ester is prepared from a fatty acid alkyl ester starting material comprising at least one of mono-unsaturated and di-unsaturated fatty acid alkyl ester molecules in a combined amount of at least 85 weight percent. Such epoxidized fatty acid alkyl esters can be employed in plasticizer compositions, either alone or in combination with other plasticizers, such as epoxidized natural oils. Such plasticizers in turn may be used in the formation of polymeric compositions.
Abstract:
Compositions comprising a polymer resin comprising at least one copolymer with hydrolysable groups, a water-generating metal salt hydrate, and a catalyst that comprises a metal atom and at least two ligands taken from the set alkyloxy and carboxylate are used to form articles that moisture-cure through in-situ generation of water via dehydration of the metal hydrate. The compositions are melt mixed to promote the dehydration and start the cure process during the mixing step. The curing compositions are formed and allowed to harden.
Abstract:
The present disclosure is directed to a single phase acetylated castor component (SP-ACC). An acetylated castor component is purified to produce the SP-ACC which contains a reduced amount of, or no, insoluble component(s) therein. The SP-ACC enhances the performance and properties of plasticizers of which it is a component.
