摘要: Overheating of a catalytic converter receiving exhaust gases from an internal combustion engine is minimized by providing an air-fuel mixture leaner than the stoichiometric ratio for combustion in the engine, maintaining the exhaust gases in an exhaust reaction chamber at relatively high temperature for a relatively long time period before conveying them to the catalytic converter, sensing deceleration conditions in the engine as a function of increase in intake vacuum intensity, and retarding the spark ignition timing and introducing supplemental air for combustion upon increase in vacuum intensity.

摘要: The lighting system according to the present invention includes an electrical wiring substrate in which a connector to a power source is formed, a plurality of LED chips mounted in a predetermined array pattern on the electrical wiring substrate, a deflection lens array disposed in proximity to the LED chips between the LED chip and the predetermined illumination region and a housing for receiving the electrical wiring substrate and the deflection lens array. A plurality of deflection lenses are integrally molded in the deflection lens array to lead lights from the LED chips to the predetermined illumination region in a state where the lights from the LED chips are superposed with each other. The lights emitted from the LED chips are collected in a state where they all are superposed in a common, single illumination region through the deflection lenses.

摘要: A plunger type high-pressure fuel pump includes a plunger reciprocated in a cylinder. A fluid pressurizing chamber of the pump has a chamber with a capacity that changes with reciprocation of the plunger. An electromagnetic valve is provided between the pressurizing chamber and a fluid suction passage; as well as a discharge valve. The electromagnetic valve includes a valve member including a suction valve; a solenoid coil adapted to displace the valve member; an anchor made of a magnetic material provided integrally with the valve member; and a core forming a magnetic circuit to attract the anchor by the electromagnetic force and dividing the inside of the electromagnetic valve into a hermetically closed space and an external space communicating with the fluid suction passage. The anchor or the core is provided with a fluid passage through which fluid can flow between the hermetically closed space and the external space formed by the anchor and the core, respectively when the suction valve is in an opened state.

摘要: A blood-pressure meter having storing means for storing a blood pressure measurement result, and time measurement means for measuring a time is disclosed. The blood-pressure meter includes: input means for entering behavior history; means for storing the blood pressure measurement result into the storing means while associating the blood pressure measurement result with a time when blood pressure measurement is performed; and means for storing the entered behavior history into the storing means while associating the behavior history with a time corresponding to the behavior history.
