摘要: A method of making high-purity fine particles of reactive metals, reactive especially in terms of their inclination to form hydroxides, comprises the steps of: preparing an inert gas atmosphere within which to manufacture the particles; reducing the moisture remaining in the inert gas atmosphere to an extremely low level; pulverizing the reactive metal within the moisture-free inert gas atmosphere; and collecting and sealing the product particles of reactive metal in a storage container in the same moisture-free inert gas atmosphere. The vessel for containing the inert gas atmosphere comprises: a hermetically sealable vessel capable of maintaining the inert gas atmosphere; a pair or rubber gloves for carrying out manual operations in the vessel under the inert gas atmosphere; a cryogenic cooling device attached to one wall of the vessel for condensing away the moisture remaining in the inert gas atmosphere into dew droplets; and an accumulator for equalizing the inner pressure of the vessel with the ambient atmospheric pressure.

摘要: A heat exchanger including a first and second header is disclosed. The headers are linked in fluid communication by a plurality of elongated fluid tubes. In a first embodiment, the first and second headers are integrally formed as a single pipe having a partition wall extending radially across. Left and right intermediate headers are disposed laterally of the single pipe. Two groups of fluid tubes link the first header to a lower portion of the intermediate headers, and two additional groups of fluid tubes link the intermediate headers to an upper portion of the second header. In a second embodiment, the first and second headers are disposed in a spaced parallel arrangement and are approximately half the length of the left and right intermediate headers with which they are linked at an upper portion of the intermediate headers by fluid tubes. The lower parts of the intermediate headers are linked directly by a third group of tubes to complete the fluid circuit of the heat exchanger.

摘要: An apparatus for performing a group control on elevators is disclosed, by which a total operation of the elevators for respective floors of building is controlled. This apparatus includes condition-instruction table which contains a plurality of predetermined control rules being defined by given conditions and given instructions. The apparatus also includes an elevator controller for detecting, in accordance with a specific rule selected from the control rules, a degree of establishment of the given conditions to provide a detected condition, and for generating, in accordance with the detected condition, an elevator control instruction used for performing the group control.

摘要: In pre-foamed particles of a propylene-base resin obtained by foaming raw particles of the propylene-base resin, the relation, G.sub.1 -G.sub.2 .gtoreq.10%, exists between the content G.sub.1 (%) of matter, which is contained in the pre-foamed particles and is insoluble in boiling n-heptane, and the content G.sub.2 (%) of matter contained in the raw particles and insoluble in boiling n-heptane. The pre-foamed particles have excellent moldability and can hence provide with ease low-density (highly-expanded) molded articles, which enjoy superb dimensional accuracy, good surface conditions, low percent water absorption, excellent impact and chemical resistance.
