There is provided a method for producing a multijunction solar cell having four-junctions, the method allowing the area of a device to be increased. On a nucleation site formed on a substrate 2, is grown a semiconductor 2a comprising the same material as the substrate 2 in the shape of a wire. On the semiconductor 2a, are successively grown semiconductors 3, 4, 5, and 6 with a narrower band gap in the shape of a wire. The semiconductor 3 may be directly grown in the shape of a wire on the nucleation site formed on the substrate 2. It is preferred to form the nucleation site by forming an amorphous SiO2 coating 8a on the substrate 2 and etching a part of the amorphous SiO2 coating 8a. Further, it is preferred to form an insulating film 8 in the region except the nucleation sites on the substrate 2 by allowing the amorphous SiO2 coating 8a to remain therein. The semiconductor 2a is GaP; the semiconductor 3 is Al0.3Ga0.7As; the semiconductor 4 is GaAs; the semiconductor 5 is In0.3Ga0.7As; and the semiconductor 6 is In0.6Ga0.4As.

The present invention provides an inexpensive exposure device with a simple structure which can draw in high precision by correcting drawing pixel positions at a time of exposing by respective beams emitted from a side of a device for selectively modulating a plurality of pixels so as to draw. A predetermined drawing shape is obtained by relatively moving a stage and an exposure head so as to execute a scanning exposure in accordance with a predetermined pattern in a state of regulating an image allocated to each of drawing pixels on the basis of correcting data, stored in a memory of a control unit, at least relating to a locus of drawing pixel positions corresponding to scanning positions of predetermined drawing pixels necessary for correction, and radiating each of light beams emitted from a device disposed in the exposure head selectively modulating a plurality of drawing pixels on the basis of the adjusted image data on an exposure member mounted on the stage.

A device for fixing a sheet material to a cylindrical rotating member. Without using a suction mechanism and a vacuum, pressing portions of sheet material leading end clamps provided at a peripheral surface of the rotating member press the sheet material against the peripheral surface of the rotating member and fix the sheet material thereat. Each pressing portion has a region which deforms most due to centrifugal force generated by the rotating member. The pressing portion is formed in advance on the whole in a bow-like shape such that this region projects the most toward a center of the rotating member. Due to deformation caused by centrifugal force, the pressing portion changes from bow-shaped to planar, and uniformly presses the sheet material without a gap therebetween.

A mechanism for correcting unbalance of a rotor that is caused at positions at which at least one of a leading edge chuck and a trailing edge chuck that hold a sheet member disposed on a peripheral surface of the rotor varying in accordance with the sheet size. The unbalance is corrected by disposing, at a predetermined distance from a rotary shaft, an anchor having a fixed weight. In a state where the unbalance is corrected, a main balancer is purposely attached to the rotor to cause an unbalanced state. According to the position at which the trailing edge chuck attaches to the peripheral surface of the rotor, a second arm is moved by mechanical interlocking to maintain an angle &thgr;2 with respect to a chuck holder. Consequently, unbalance is adjusted in accordance with the size of the sheet.
