    摘要: A method is proposed for improving the operating behavior of motor vehicles driven by an internal combustion engine and especially to reduce jerking or bucking. The jerking, caused by rapid changes in engine torque, is damped by adapting the torque of the engine to the increase in output of the drive train of the vehicle. To this end, the deflection of the engine relative to the motor body is detected and used for vaying the fuel quantity metered to the engine. A differentiating member interposed between the engine and the body acts upon the fuel quantity adjusting device of the fuel metering device.

    摘要: Disclosed a regulating device for a fuel volume adjuster of a self-igniting internal combustion engine. In order to damp jerking movements resulting at different power transmissions, a signal corresponding to the actual rotary speed of the engine is fed back into an electronic regulating circuit. Preferably, the feedback path includes a phase shifter. It is essential that the regulating action of the rotary speed be not delayed by the phase turning shifter. For this purpose, the electronic regulating circuit includes a PI stage and the fed back signal is applied to the regulating circuit only after its I-constituent has become effective.

    摘要: An electronic control device is proposed for a Diesel fuel metering system, in which at the onset of the starting procedure, a constant fuel quantity is pre-specified at first, and this quantity subsequently increases in steps or in a ramp-like manner. Above a predetermined rpm or starting quantity, an rpm-dependent reduction in quantity takes place, to 90% of the full-load quantity. The open-loop or closed-loop control of the starting quantity ends upon the attainment of a speed of 800 rpm, for example. Both an analog and a computerized realization of the control device are provided, and the control device according to the invention is capable of dispensing with the processing of a temperature signal and can thus dispense with the use of one temperature sensor.

    摘要: A method for measuring the air quantity supplied to an internal combustion engine by means of a measurement sensor disposed in a bridge circuit having a temperature-dependent resistor (for example, a hot wire or hot film) in the air intake manifold and having a temperature control apparatus, the temperature of the measurement sensor being controlled in an open or closed loop independently of the temperature of the medium to be measured, the properties of the medium to be measured which cause the measurement effect in the hot wire or hot film being dependent on the temperature. With an identical flow quantity but different temperatures in the medium, a correct measurement indication is obtained by making the excess temperature of the hot wire dependent on the temperature of the medium to be measured. The apparatus for open-loop or closed-loop control of this excess temperature contains, in the parallel arm to the quantity measurement device of the bridge circuit, two resistors disposed in sequence, one of which is also disposed in the air intake manifold in order to detect the air temperature, and the total temperature coefficient is set, by means of the selection of the individual temperature coefficients of the two resistors as well as their resistance values, in such a manner that the actual measurement sensor has a controlled excess temperature.

    摘要: The relative fuel consumption of an internal combustion engine, i.e., the fuel consumption per unit time or unit distance, is determined on the basis of measurements to ascertain the exhaust gas temperature. Based on the existing functional relationship between the exhaust gas temperature and fuel consumption, the measured exhaust gas temperature is combined with a signal related to engine speed and is used to provide a datum related to the fuel consumption per unit time. A transducer which detects the distance traveled by the vehicle is used to control an integrating circuit which generates a signal related to the fuel consumption per unit distance traveled. The signals may be used for visual displays to the operator or automatic control of other engine subsystems, for example exhaust gas recycle systems or fuel supply systems.

    摘要: A control system for the fuel injection mechanism of an internal combustion engine, especially a Diesel engine. In order to adapt the fuel admitted to the engine to exact requirements, a correction is made on the basis of air mass flow rate and fuel temperature. The air mass flow rate is deduced from signals generated by an air temperature sensor and an air pressure sensor while the fuel temperature is taken by a fuel temperature sensor. The two temperature signals are applied to a bridge circuit which feeds a differential amplifier whose output is mixed with the pressure signal. The composite mixed signal is applied to a servo-mechanism to limit the excursion of the fuel control rack of the fuel injection pump. Status indicators generate feedback signals for comparison with set-point signals to provide closed-loop control.
