    摘要: A non-invasive tool for skin disease diagnosis would be a useful clinical adjunct. The purpose of this study was to determine whether visible/near-infrared spectroscopy can be used to non-invasively characterize skin diseases. In-vivo visible- and near-infrared spectra (400-2500 nm) of skin neoplasms (actinic keratoses, basal cell carcinomata, banal common acquired melanocytic nevi, dysplastic melanocytic nevi, actinic lentigines and seborrheic keratoses) were collected by placing a fiber optic probe on the skin. Paired t-tests, repeated measures analysis of variance and linear discriminant analysis were used to determine whether significant spectral differences existed and whether spectra could be classified according to lesion type.     摘要: The present invention provides a composition comprising one or more than one isotactic, modified polypropylene (MPP) or polypropylene-α-olefin copolymer (MPP copolymer) and one or more than one polymer or resin, wherein said MPP or MPP copolymer is modified with one or more than one carboxyl or anhydride, preferably maleic acid or anhydride, or with one or more than one epoxy or hydroxyl group. Alternatively, the present invention provides a composition comprising an adduct which is the reaction product of one or more than one isotactic, modified polypropylene (MPP) or isotactic, modified polypropylene-α-olefin copolymer (MPP copolymer) with one or more than one carboxyl, anhydride, epoxy or hydroxyl functional reactant, polymer or resin. The composition may be used to make aqueous or solvent borne compositions for making primers, coatings, powder coatings, films, laminates, moldings and shaped-articles having good adhesion to thermoplastic polyolefins (TPO) or polyolefin, while partly or wholly avoiding use of environmentally harmful chlorinated polyolefin (CPO) additives. The isotactic MPP or MPP copolymer preferably has one or two terminal carboxyl, anhydride, epoxy or hydroxyl group. More preferably, the isotactic MPP or MPP copolymer has a low molecular weight and a melting point of from 70 to 145° C., preferably 80 to 105° C. for MPP copolymer and preferably 105 to 120° C. for an MPP homopolymer, and provides excellent penetration into TPO or polyolefin substrates.

Such compositions may be coated on automotive plastic, TPO or resinous substrates, and provide coatings having a 19 or greater thermal shock resistance according to Ford laboratory test method BI 107-05 when coated on TPO and baked for 15 minutes at from 74 to 90° C. Further, the present invention provides methods of making aqueous nanocomposite dispersions comprising mixing unmodified layered silicate and water insoluble neat resin in water to at least partially exfoliate the clay and subjecting the resulting mixture to high shear.

    摘要: Composite panels and pulp, and paper products of the pulp, are produced from Arundo donax. In the fabrication of the composite panels, Arundo donax is comminuted to a suitable size, combined with a binder, and consolidated into panels that meet standards for construction and/or furniture grade panels. The Arundo donax particulates may be combined with wood particulates to produce a mixed furnish that can be used in the preparation of composite panels. Comminuted Arundo donax is treated, in conventional pulping processes, to produce a high tensile strength pulp that can be used in the production of paper. The pulp has a lighter color than wood pulp, and thereby uses less bleaching chemicals to achieve a desired whiteness. The pulp can be combined with wood pulp to produce a variety of products.
