摘要: A suction-and-holding face (14) for a component (1) in a suction nozzle (3) is formed from a semiconductor ceramic so that the suction-and-holding face to be brought into direct contact with the component in suction and holding has characteristics as semiconductor. Thus, detrimental effects due to occurrence of static electricity on the suction nozzle as well as detrimental effects due to an electrical conduction state between the suction nozzle and the component can be prevented from occurring.

摘要: A display includes a polarizing member and a reflective display element behind an EL element. The EL element self-emits light to display information and doubles as a display-use light source for the reflective display element. In a sufficiently bright environment, ambient light enters a liquid crystal layer after passing through a frontal substrate of the reflective display element, and is reflected from a metal electrode to produce displays. In addition to the direct light from the EL element, light that enters the liquid crystal layer is simultaneously used. In a dark environment, the EL element emits light, and displayed contents are visible owing to the reflection from the metal electrode as well as directly exiting light. The structure makes it possible to provide a novel type of display that allows a user to select one of various display modes at his/her own discretion according to surrounding conditions and that also shows information in a clearly visible fashion, be it outdoors under clear skies or in a dark place, without giving up their thin, lightweight features.

摘要: The present invention provides a board supporting mechanism and a board supporting method eliminating an adjustment of a support height of a support pin upon position-changing of the support pin in accordance with a change in model of a circuit board, as well as a component mounting apparatus and a component mounting method. A single or a plurality of support pin(s) (42) having one end(s) brought into contact with a bottom face of a circuit board (14) to support the bottom face of the circuit board (14) and the other end(s) brought into contact with a surface of a support table (27) for raising/lowering the support pin(s) (42) is or are held in a direction substantially perpendicular to the surface of the support table (27). The one end(s) of the support pin(s) (42) held in the direction substantially perpendicular to the surface of the support table (27) is or are brought into contact with the bottom face of the circuit board (14); thus, the support pin(s) (42) support(s) the circuit board (14).

摘要: A component placing head provided with spline shafts, which are each elevatably supported by two spline nuts, is provided with a cylindrical member that is fixed to the outer peripheral portions of the spline nuts and joins the spline nuts to each other to put the same into an integrated state. Further, the cylindrical member is rotatably supported on a head frame via two bearing sections, reducing the amount of the bearing sections to be provided. With this arrangement, high-accuracy component placement and downsizing of the component placing head can be achieved.

摘要: In a headlamp comprising low beam irradiating, there are provided main beam irradiating means, light distribution switching means for switching a low beam and a main beam, abnormality detecting means for detecting an abnormal situation in which a proper low beam cannot be formed, and optical axis tilting means for vertically tilting an optical axis of at least a main beam, and the abnormality detecting means detects an abnormality, a light distribution is switched into a main beam by the light distribution switching and the optical axis of the main beam is turned downward by the optical axis tilting means. When a proper low beam cannot be formed, a main beam having a larger light amount is generally turned on to maintain a visibility in of a vehicle and the optical axis of the main beam is turned downward such that glare light is not generated.

摘要: A squeegee unit having a stirring squeegee and a leveling squeegee fixed thereto is rocked with the reciprocating operation of a transfer unit moving mechanism to cause the stirring squeegee and the leveling squeegee to approach the pan surface of a transfer unit on going and returning paths. Consequently, the stirring squeegee stirs a viscous fluid put on the transfer unit on the going path of the transfer unit and the leveling squeegee uniformly flattens the viscous fluid stirred on the going path to have a predetermined thickness on the returning path of the transfer unit, thereby forming a flat viscous fluid transfer surface on the transfer unit. By immersing the terminal portion of the electronic component in the viscous fluid transfer surface, the viscous fluid is transferred to the electronic component and the electronic component is then mounted in a predetermined mounting position.

摘要: A method of and apparatus for feeding electronic components are provided in which a group of electronic components joined to each other and stored in a stick are separated from each other before being supplied, regardless of the configuration at the joining ends of the electronic components as well as the presence of burrs developed during a molding process of the electronic components. In particular, a separating unit (6) comprises a step (20) which is dropped in level at the front end of a tilted chute (4) for receiving the forefront electronic component (2) and an arm (22) for holding down the succeeding electronic component (2) from above and causing the same to move backward along the tilted chute (4).
