A ceramic substrate having on the surface thereof a plurality of pads to be attached to terminal members is provided. Each pad includes a metallic layer formed on the surface of the substrate and a connecting layer made of a nickel base alloy and formed on the metallic layer. A gold-nickel layer made of a gold base alloy containing nickel is formed on the connecting layer. The gold-nickel layer may be formed by first forming a gold layer on the connecting layer and then making nickel in the connecting layer to diffuse into the gold layer by heat treatment. A method of producing such a ceramic substrate is also provided.

In a noise suppressor, a noise signal detected by a first detector is inputted to an adaptive filter and a FIR filter. An output signal of the adaptive filter is reproduced by a speaker. The signal reproduced by the speaker and a noise signal from a noise source are detected by a second detector. The signal detected by the second detector is band-limited by a filter circuit and sent to a LMS computing circuit. The LMS computing circuit updates a coefficient of the adaptive filter so as to minimize an output signal of the filter circuit in response to an output signal of the FIR filter and an output signal of the filter circuit.

A light-sensitive silver halide photographic material is disclosed. The photographic material comprises an antistatic layer comprising a water-soluble electric conductive polymer, hydrophobic polymer particles and a hardener; and a hydrophilic colloidal layer containing a polyhydric alcohol. The photographic material may further comprises an electric conductive layer at the outer than a silver halide emulsion layer from the support, and the hydrophobic polymer particle may contain a dye. The photographic material is suitable for the use of an X-ray recording film.

A coupled cavity type traveling wave tube is provided with at least one sever termination means comprising a waveguide extending outwardly from one cavity. A ceramic type attenuator is brazed to the interior surface of one thin wall of the extending waveguide. A ceramic type plate is brazed to the exterior side of the same wall whose thickness is selected to permit the thin wall to undergo plastic deformation as a result of thermal deformation of the ceramic members. An enclosure wall is provided to surround at least the ceramic type plate. The enclosure wall is capable of maintaining a vacuum condition even in the case where the thin wall may develop a leak or hole.Two sever termination means may be provided. The sever termination means may be located on the same side of the coupled cavity type structure or they may be located on the same side and share a common dividing wall, said dividing wall being the aforementioned thin, plastically deformable wall.

When compression molding is performed continuously, lumps of molten synthetic resin (drops), which are supplied by extrusion, are continuously, accurately, and rapidly inserted into plurality of compression molding dies which are rotatingly movable. A method and device for continuously supplying drops into female moldings which are rotatingly movable for manufacturing moldings, wherein synthetic resin in molten condition extruded from an extrusion opening is cut by a cutter attached to a holding mechanism to form the molten resin into drops in a determined quantity, the drops are held and conveyed by the holding mechanism, and the drops are forcibly inserted and supplied into the concaves of the female moldings. At that time the holding mechanism on the rotary-and movable type drop supply is made to approach the rotating molding die and the rotation path of the holding mechanism is made to overlap with that of the molding die within a determined area to make the movement of the holding mechanisms follow that of the molding die.

A method is provided by which a reagent is provided to a living sample, including contacting a thin-film containing a porous body with a living sample containing cells or tissues, and discharging a solution containing at least one or more reagents to a non-contact side of the thin-film by ink-jet to provide the solution to the specific area of the living sample through pores on the thin-film, wherein the smaller diameter of the pores on the porous body relative to the diameter of cells in the living sample enables the reagent to be provided to each individual cell separately. According to this method, the reagent and the reaction product can be fixed while maintaining positioning information of the target substance in the living sample, as a pretreatment for analyzing with high positioning accuracy the target substance in each individual cell in the living sample.

The present invention relates to an information acquisition method of acquiring information of distribution of a protein or peptide in a sample based on mass information obtained by mass spectrometry of the protein or peptide. The method includes mass spectrometry of a definite region of the sample after limited proteolysis of the protein or peptide and acquisition of information relating to distribution using an ion peak that has a two-dimensional intensity distribution having a Pearson product-moment correlation coefficient of 0.5 to more and 1.0 or less in the definite region against the two-dimensional intensity distribution of the parent ion of the protein or the peptide subjected to the limited proteolysis and has a peak intensity ratio of larger than 1.0 against the peak intensity of the integrated spectrum of the parent ion in the definite region, wherein the m/z of the ion peak is greater than 500.
