    摘要: A projection device includes: first light sources each emitting a first light; a collimator lens that converts the first lights into parallel light beams; a condensing optical system that receives the parallel light beams and emits concentrated light beams; and an optical element having an incident surface through which the concentrated light beams enters the optical element. The condensing optical system is configured so that when a light beam parallel to an optical axis of the condensing optical system is incident on the condensing optical system, the light beam is concentrated at a position on the axis on the incident surface. The parallel light beams are incident at different positions of the condensing optical system while approaching the axis. Emitting positions of the light beams on the condensing optical system and incident positions of the light beams on the incident surface are opposite each other with respect to the axis.

    摘要: A projection light source has a source of laser light of a first color. A first member has first and second phosphor material segments respectively configured to emit light of second and third colors when illuminated by the laser light of the first color. A second member has first and second dichroic filter segments respectively configured to pass the light of the second and third colors emitted by the first and second phosphor material segments, while blocking light of the others of the first, second and third colors. Relative placements of the first and second members are synchronized to periodically align the first member with the laser light source and the second member with the first member, so that the first dichroic filter segment will pass the second color along a path at first time intervals when the second color is emitted by the first phosphor material and the second dichroic filter segment will pass the third color along at least a same portion of the path at second time intervals when the third color is emitted by the second phosphor material.

    摘要: Provided is a polarizing element having excellent optical properties and high light resistance to intense light. This polarizing element is provided with a transparent substrate, an absorbing layer disposed on the transparent substrate and constituting grid-shaped convexities arrayed at a pitch smaller than the wavelengths in the optical bandwidth used, a dielectric layer formed on the absorbing layer, and a reflective layer formed on the dielectric layer. Because the absorbing layer, which interferes with and absorbs light, is in contact with the transparent substrate, heat dissipation can be improved and heat resistance of the polarizing plate can be improved.
