摘要: Example methods and systems for quality-aware user data forwarding in a mobile communications system are described. One example may involve a first virtualized network function (VNF) instance supported by a computer system establishing a user plane tunnel with a second VNF instance; and learning path quality information associated with multiple paths over the user plane tunnel. In response to receiving a packet that includes user data for forwarding in an uplink direction or a downlink direction, the first VNF instance may select the first path over the second path based on at least the path quality information; and generate and send an encapsulated packet over the user plane tunnel towards the second VNF instance. The encapsulated packet may include the packet and an outer header specifying the first outer source port number associated with the first path.

摘要: Systems and methods described herein allow mobile network operators to provide an adaptive quality of service (QoS) approach for application providers. A network device in a core network receives a QoS monitoring report based on QoS monitoring by an access station. The QoS monitoring report includes data for QoS parameters for network services in a default QoS flow supporting a protocol data unit (PDU) session. Based on the QoS monitoring report, the network device determines if the default QoS flow supports a required service level for the PDU session. When the network device determines that the default QoS flow does not support the required service level for the PDU session, the network device automatically activates a dedicated QoS flow to support the PDU session with the required service level.

A path from the one device to a next device of the network is determined, as well as at least one toll value for the path from the one device to the next device. Based on the at least one toll value for the path from the one device to the next device, a routing toll is adjusted. 摘要: A telecommunication device configured to select one of a plurality of network connectivities of the telecommunication device to use for transmission of a network packet is described herein. The telecommunication device may select the network connectivity based on user routing criteria, connectivity metrics, or transmission times. The user routing criteria may be dynamically updated during a communication or connection, affecting selection of the network connectivity for further network packets. The network connectivities may be respectively associated with different network operators. Also, the telecommunication device may select a first network connectivity for transmitting a first network packet and a second network connectivity for transmitting a second network packet. Further, the telecommunication device may select a first network connectivity for uplink communications and a second network connectivity for downlink communications.

摘要: A mobile accelerator system includes point of presences (POPs) that includes an entry POP. The entry POP receives a query to a content server from a mobile device via a dedicated transport channel. The entry POP determines a direct connection score for a direct connection between the mobile device and the content server that does not traverse the mobile accelerator system. The entry POP determines a POP connection score for a connection between the mobile device and the content server through the entry POP and a candidate exit POP. The entry POP determines a dynamic path ranking based on the direct connection score, the POP connection score, and other POP connection score(s) associated with other candidate exit POP(s). The entry POP determines at least a portion of a dynamic path between the mobile device based on the dynamic path ranking and routes data transfers through that dynamic path.

摘要: Disclosed herein are systems and methods for multi-level classification of data traffic flows based on information in a first data packet for a data traffic flow. In exemplary embodiments of the present disclosure, a key can be generated to track data traffic flows by application names and data packet information or properties. Based on these keys, patterns can be discerned to infer data traffic information based on only the information in a first data packet. The determined patterns can be used to predict classifications of future traffic flows with similar key information. In this way, data traffic flows can be classified and steered in a network based on limited information available in a first data packet.

摘要: A method may include receiving a domain name system (DNS) query at a network device, where the DNS query may be associated with a traffic flow identified for rerouting through an alternative path utilizing an alternative network device instead of a default path. The method may also include rewriting the DNS query such that the DNS query is routed through the alternative network device along the alternative path and to a DNS server associated with the alternative path. The method may additionally include receiving a DNS response from the DNS server, where a resource identified in the DNS response may be based on the DNS query coming through the alternative network device.

摘要: In one embodiment, a method includes determining, by a first router, service level agreement (SLA) requirements for an application and generating, by the first router, first SLA characteristics for the first router. The first router is in an active mode within a network. The method also includes comparing, by the first router, the first SLA characteristics for the first router to the SLA requirements and determining, by the first router, second SLA characteristics for a second router. The second router is in a standby mode within the network. The method further includes comparing, by the first router, the second SLA characteristics for the second router to the SLA requirements and determining, by the first router, whether to lower a first hop redundancy protocol (FHRP) priority of the first router.
