摘要: The present invention relates to a method for the production of oxazolidinone compounds, comprising the step of slowly reacting an isocyanate compound with an epoxide compound in the presence of a Lewis acid catalyst. The invention further relates to an oxazolidinone compound, obtainable by a method according to the invention, with a color as determined according to ASTM D1209-05 (2011) of ≦200 and a molar ratio of the oxazolidinone compound to isocyanurate by-product o/i of ≧85/15. Lastly, the invention relates to an oligomeric or polymeric oxazolidinone compound, obtainable by a method according to the invention using an isocyanate compound with two or more NCO groups per molecule and an epoxide compound with two or more epoxy groups per molecule, comprising at least two units derived from the isocyanate compound and at least two units derived from the epoxide compound, with a color as determined according to ASTM D1209-05 (2011) of ≦200.

摘要: The present invention relates to a composition comprising 10 to less than 50 wt.-% of at least one oligomeric polyisocyanate a-1) based on hexamethylene diisocyanate and more than 50 to 90 wt.-% of at least one polyisocyanate a-2) based on isophorone diisocyanate, comprising monomeric isophorone diisocyanate and at least one oligomeric isophorone diisocyanate, and an isocyanate-reactive component selected from the group consisting of polyester polyol, polyether polyol and mixtures thereof. It has been shown that the above mentioned mixture of the specific isocyanate group containing components improves the thermal and mechanical properties of a cured composition. Thus prepared molded articles are particularly suitable for the preparation of spectacle lenses, inter alia due to these properties.

摘要: The present invention provides a continuous process for the production of nitrobenzene by nitration of benzene with mixtures of sulfuric and nitric acid using a stoichiometric excess of benzene, in which the content of aliphatic organic compounds in the feed benzene during the start-up period of the production plant is always maintained at less than 1.5 wt. %, based on the total mass of the feed benzene. This is achieved either by mixing the feed benzene comprising recycled unreacted benzene (recycled benzene) and benzene newly supplied to the reaction (fresh benzene) in appropriate quantitative ratios during the start-up period, depending on the purity of the two streams, or by completely omitting the recycling of unreacted benzene during the start-up period, i.e. the feed benzene consists only of benzene newly supplied to the reaction.
