Abstract: The present invention relates to the identification and use of natural plant compounds for inducing, enhancing and maintaining beneficial rhizobacteria biofilm formation on a plant or plant part thereof, and conversely, inhibiting formation of biofilms and pellicle by plant pathogens. Methods of use for stimulating matrix production from the beneficial rhizobacteria and enhanced adhesion of the rhizobacteria to a plant or plant part thereof are also described. Methods of use for inhibition plant pathogen adhesion to biofilms are also described.

Abstract: A method for recovery of gold from gold-containing materials, such as electronic waste material, minerals and sands is described. The method includes crushing the gold containing material to obtain a particulate material. The particulate material is then preheated in an oxygen-containing gas environment in a preheating zone. The method also includes mixing the oxidized particulate material with a chlorine-containing material and treating the mixture in a reaction zone. The treatment is carried out by heating the mixture to provide thermal decomposition of the chlorine-containing material and produce a chlorine-containing gas mixture, and by applying an electromagnetic field to the chlorine-containing gas mixture to provide ionization of chlorine. A volatile gold-containing chloride product, produced in the reaction zone as a result of a chemical reaction between gold and chlorine ions, is then cooled to convert the volatile gold-containing chloride product into solid phase gold-containing materials.

Abstract: A method of assessing odors, comprises providing an electronic nose that extracts measurements from odors, from which measurements at least n chemical descriptors are extracted where n is greater than unity, and typically around 18. The electronic nose is applied to an odor, and odor information is extracted. The information is plotted to a first location on an n-dimensional sample space, each dimension being related to a respective one of the n chemical descriptors or otherwise optimized for the particular enose and the measurements it makes; and an assessment of the odor is provided based on the plotted location. The assessment may be a description based on odor describing terms, or may be a chemical description in terms of chemicals that can synthesize the odor, and the odor may then be synthesized based on the chemical description.

Abstract: A System and a method for processing at least two M-dimensional data-measurements (DMs) of a physical-property for detecting one or more new-objects and/or a transition of one or more known-objects, in complex constant-background DMs, using at least one processor and at least one memory element, the method comprising: generating a filtered-new-DM by match-filtering a new-DM, respective to impulse response of a reference-DM; generating a filtered-reference-DM by match-filtering the reference-DM, respective to impulse response of the new-DM; generating an M-dimensional object-indicator (OI) by subtracting the filtered-reference-DM from the filtered-new-DM, or vice versa; and generating an M-dimensional data score (DS) from the M-dimensional OI, where each of the scores is a probe for existence of an object at a specific M-dimensional location.

Abstract: A method of transplantation is disclosed. The method comprising administering to a subject in need of transplantation of cells in suspension, a therapeutically effective amount of tolerance inducing anti-third party cytotoxic T-lymphocytes (CTLs), wherein the tolerance inducing anti-third party CTLs are generated by directing T-lymphocytes of a donor against a third party antigen or antigens, the tolerance inducing anti-third party CTLs being substantially depleted of T-lymphocytes capable of developing into alloreactive CTLs, and wherein the tolerance inducing anti-third party CTLs do not comprise cells having a central memory T-lymphocyte (Tcm) phenotype, wherein the cells in suspension comprise non-hematopoietic cells or hematopoietic cells which are not stem cells. Methods of treating and kits are also provided.
