    摘要: The present invention is a switch-closeable double barrel syringe and methods for bleaching teeth using it. The syringe comprises two separately contained barrels, each containing one component of a dental bleach, and a rotatable tip with orifices to match, when open, orifices in the barrels, and a mixing chamber. The tip rotates between open and closed positions in order to dispense bleaching compositions for use in dental hygene. Various formulations of bleaching compositions may be contained within the barrels, however the invention is ideally suited for those which require separate storage of active ingredients before use.

    摘要: The present invention is a formable dental treatment tray utilizing poly(2-ethyl-2-oxazoline) and a gelatinous active. Blending of the active is accomplished by mixing the Poly(2-ethyl-2-oxazoline) with an active ingredient, such as a peroxide like hydrogen peroxide, carbamide peroxide, sodium perborate, or sodium percarbonate, usually also with water or an appropriate organic solvent. Peroxide concentrations in these new gels can reach a 30% concentration of hydrogen peroxide while maintaining a shelf life of six months at room temperature without developing peroxide decomposition. The gels are applied to an appropriate backing and dried to a gelatinous state. In use, the active is hydrated and regains adhesiveness. Then the tray is pressed and formed around a user's dental arch to form the customizable tray. Multiple active ingredients may be used, with or without peroxide, for accomplishing desired treatment regimens.

    摘要: The present invention is a monolithic, multi-colored LED chip and a method for making the same. The LED chip is comprised of a substrate and a plurality of light emitting structures, each light emitting structure capable of emitting a wavelength of light unique compared to others and each structure layered on top of another structure and separated by a dielectric layer. The light emitting structures are then capable of independent or tandem activation, yielding the original colors of each section, blends of colors, and white light. The method starts with the base for such a chip and etches layers of the chip away, leaving exposed sections, to reach electrical contact layers for each light emitting structure. Electrically conductive material is then used to fill the exposed sections and is, in turn, etched away to leave contacts. An insulating material is then used to fill in the resultant areas.

In various embodiments of the invention, a semiconductor such as and LED chip, laser chip, LED chip array, laser array, an array of chips, or a VCSEL chip is mounted on a heat sink. The heat sink may have multiple panels for mounting chips in various orientations. The chips may be mounted directly to a primary heat sink which is in turn mounted to a multi-panel secondary heat sink. A TE cooler and air circulation may be provided to enhance heat dissipation. An AC/DC converter may be included in the light source fitting.
