摘要: A process for producing compounds of general formula (II) useful as the developer for leuco dyes to be used in thermosensible papers, which is excellent in productivity, economical efficiency and safety and permits the production of the compounds from constantly available raw materials. This process is improved in productivity, economical efficiency and safety as compared with those of the prior art both by shortening the production time by the use of, e.g., an alkyl iodide, RI, which is more reactive than alkyl bromides which have been used in the prior art, and by attaining the complete recovery and reuse of iodine by incorporating into the process the iodine recovery step of recovering iodine from the manufacturing wastewater and reacting this iodine with an alcohol to thereby self-produce an alkyl iodide.

摘要: A process of producing a thin film is disclosed. The process comprises the steps of providing a vessel; placing a target such that a surface to be sputtered of the target surrounds a discharge space; placing a substrate on a side of an opening of the space such that the substrate faces an anode disposed so as to close another opening of the space surrounded by the target; supplying a sputtering gas and a fluorine-containing gas into the vessel; and supplying a dc power or a power obtained by superimposing pulses with reversing polarities on the dc power, between the target and the anode, wherein a discharge is induced in the discharge space to sputter the target, thereby forming a fluorine-containing thin film on the substrate.

摘要: The present invention provides a process for forming a multilayer film by applying, on a substrate, the following coatings in the following order: (A) a primer, (B) an intermediate coating, C) a coloring base coating, (D a pearl-like base coating, and (E) a clear coating, in which process the intermediate coating (B) is a liquid thermosetting coating containing a thermosetting resin composition, a fine aluminum powder having an average particle diameter of less than 10 .mu.m and a titanium oxide pigment, the amounts of the fine aluminum powder and the titanium oxide pigment being 0.1-30 parts by weight and 1-200 parts by weight, respectively, per 100 parts by weight of the thermosetting resin composition so that a film formed from the liquid thermosetting coating has a hiding powder of 25 .mu.m or less; the coloring base coating (C) is a coating containing a thermosetting resin composition, a titanium white pigment and an aluminum flake, the amounts of the titanium white pigment and the aluminum flake being such that a film formed from the coating has a value of N 7 to N 9 in Munsell's color system; and the pearl-like base coating (D) is a white-pearl-like or silver-pearl-like coating containing a thermosetting resin composition and a scaly mica powder coated with titanium oxide. The process enables formation of a multilayer film superior in chipping resistance, high white-iridescent appearance, color stability, etc. even when having a small total film thickness.

摘要: The present invention concerns an aqueous resin dispersion comprising a copolymer of a perfluoroalkyl group-containing ethylenically unsaturated monomer and/or polydimethylsiloxane group-containing ethylenically unsaturated monomer and another ethylenically unsaturated monomer copolymerizable therewith dispersed in water in the presence of a water-dispersible polyurethane containing a polydimethylsiloxane group such as silicone and a hydrophilic group such as a carboxylate group. The aqueous resin dispersion of the present invention provides a release agent which can freely control releasability, be excellent in adhesion to a substrate, and undergo little migration to back face or little change in releasability with time.

摘要: In the primary invention of this application, an optical-fiber inspection device which detects the distance to a reflection point within the DUT and the amount of reflected light by dividing into two a laser beam which is possible to be frequency-swept, making one of the divided light beams incident to an optical detector via the reference light path, while making the other of the divided light beams incident to the DUT and making the light reflected within the DUT incident to the said optical detector, and analyzing the frequency of the interference signal for the two beams obtained by the optical detector, is configured so that the final reference light is obtained by providing an optical coupler in the reference light path and, after taking out a part of the reference light and making it pass through an optical frequency shifter, combining this again with the original reference light with the said optical coupler.

摘要: A process for preparing storable vegetable juice comprising crushing vegetables to extract juice, adding an organic acid to the vegetable juice, and treating this vegetable juice with a weakly basic anion exchange resin on which an organic acid has previously been adsorbed and a food containing a vegetable juice prepared by the process. The process can produce vegetable juice which can be stored at room temperature, produces no bad odor when stored at room temperature, and is free from a resin odor which has been unavoidable when a weakly basic anion exchange resin was used.
