摘要: A method, information processing system, and computer program product manage server placement of virtual machines in an operating environment. A mapping of each virtual machine in a plurality of virtual machines to at least one server in a set of servers is determined. The mapping substantially satisfies a set of primary constraints associated with the set of servers. A plurality of virtual machine clusters is created. Each virtual machine cluster includes a set of virtual machines from the plurality of virtual machines. A server placement of one virtual machine in a cluster is interchangeable with a server placement of another virtual machine in the same cluster while satisfying the set of primary constraints. A server placement of the set of virtual machines within each virtual machine on at least one mapped server is generated for each cluster. The server placement substantially satisfies a set of secondary constraints.

摘要: Disclosed are a method and a device for security-inspection of liquid articles with dual-energy CT imaging. The method comprises the steps of obtaining one or more CT images including physical attributes of liquid article to be inspected by CT scanning and a dual-energy reconstruction method; acquiring the physical attributes of each liquid article from the CT image; and determining whether there are drugs concealed in the inspected liquid article based on the difference between the acquired physical attributes and reference physical attributes of the inspected liquid article. The CT scanning can be implemented by a normal CT scanning technique, or a spiral CT scanning technique. In the normal CT scanning technique, the scan position can be preset, or set by the operator with a DR image, or set by automatic analysis of the DR image.

摘要: The present invention discloses a detecting method of an article detection apparatus composed of an individual DR subsystem and an individual CT subsystem, the method comprising: obtaining a first projection data on ray attenuation coefficient by using the DR subsystem to project an A-layer of an article at a first projection angle, and obtaining a second projection data on ray attenuation coefficient by using the CT subsystem to project an A-layer of the article at a second projection angle different from the first projection angle; and judging whether an A-layer of the detected article contains a dangerous article based on the first projection data and the second projection data so as to obtain a first judgment on an A-layer of the detected article. In the present invention, by combining the projection data of the DR subsystem and the projection data of the CT subsystem, the amount of data information used to judge the detected article is greatly increased, therefore, both the detection accuracy and speed are improved.

摘要: A method and system for segmentation of the corpus callosum in MR brain images is disclosed. The method utilizes an active shape model (ASM) with confidence weighting to iteratively adjust an initial corpus callosum contour to define a boundary of the corpus callosum in an MR image. An ASM is used to determine a displacement value in a perpendicular direction of the corpus callosum contour for each node of the corpus callosum contour. The displacement value for each node is then weighted based on a confidence of that displacement value. The ASM is then fitted to the adjusted contour. These steps are iteratively performed until the contour converges to define the corpus callosum boundary. This boundary can be further refined based on intensity distributions in object and background regions defined by the boundary.

摘要: A method and system for optimizing a configuration of a set of LPARs and a set of servers that host the LPARs. Configuration data and optimization characteristics are received. By applying the configuration data and optimization characteristics, a best fit of the LPARs into the servers is determined, thereby determining an optimized configuration. The best fit is based on a variant of bin packing or multidimensional bin packing methodology. The optimized configuration is stored. In one embodiment, comparisons of shadow costs are utilized to determine an optimal placement of the LPARs in the servers. LPAR(s) in the set of LPARs are migrated to other server(s) in the set of servers, which results in the LPARs and servers being configured in the optimized configuration.
