    摘要: A DC-DC converter includes a main inductor connected to an input voltage, a main switching element connected in series to the main inductor, a main diode connected to the main inductor and a load, and a main capacitor connected to the main diode and the load, the DC-DC converter changing the input voltage to output a changed input voltage as an output voltage. The DC-DC converter further includes an oscillator connected between the main inductor and the main diode, an auxiliary switching element connected to the oscillator, the auxiliary switching element changing an operation state based on an externally applied control signal to control the oscillator, and a diode unit connected to the oscillator and the auxiliary switching element and controlling current flow based on operations of the oscillator and the auxiliary switching element to change the output voltage. The main switching element and the main diode are to be zero voltage switching or zero current switching in accordance with the operations of the oscillator and the auxiliary switching element.

    摘要: A backlight assembly includes a light-generating unit, a heat-radiation member, a first receiving container, and a second receiving container. The heat-radiation member is disposed under the light-generating unit and radiates heat generated by the light-generating unit. The first receiving container is composed of a bottom portion and side portion extended from the bottom portion. The first receiving container has an opening formed through partial removal of the bottom portion so that the heat-radiation member received inside is exposed. The second receiving container is disposed under the first receiving container. An air layer is formed in between the first and second receiving containers.

    摘要: A method of driving light sources controls amounts of light from light-emitting diode (LED) strings based on pulse signals to operate the LED strings connected in parallel. Voltages are synchronized with the pulse signals at input terminals of control circuits to detect the voltages, the control circuits being connected to the LED strings and controlling resistance variations of the LED strings. The operation of the LED strings is stopped when the detected voltage is out of a predetermined allowable voltage range due to a short-circuited LED. Therefore, a light source device may be protected by stopping the operation of the LED strings.

    摘要: A light-source module for a display device and a display device having the same, in which the light-source module includes a plurality of light-emitting units, a current difference controller, and a converter. The light-emitting units are connected in parallel between a driving power input terminal and a ground terminal to emit light by the diving power and to output respective feedback control signals. The current difference controller is configured to output a plurality of power control signals according to the respective feedback control signals. The converter is configured to change a current of the driving power provided to the light-emitting units according to the power control signals. The amounts of currents flowing through the light emitting units each having a plurality of light emitting diodes are measured and the levels of voltages applied to the light-emitting units are changed according to the measurement results. Accordingly, a current difference between the light emitting units can be reduced and the brightness uniformity of the light source can be improved.
