摘要: A recording sheet has a base and a receptive layer disposed on at least one surface of the base. The receptive layer contains at least a water-absorbent copolymer and said water-resistant graft copolymer whose main chain is polyvinyl alcohol. The water-absorbent copolymer absorbs inks, and the water-resistant graft copolymer makes the receptive layer resistant to discoloration, blurring, and gloss or luster irregularities. The water-absorbent graft copolymer comprises a graft copolymer produced by grafting a vinyl monomer having a carboxyl group and a monomer having a functional group reacting with the carboxyl group. The water-absorbent copolymer comprises a copolymer of acrylic acid and vinyl alcohol. The water-resistant graft copolymer and the water-absorbent copolymer are added at a ratio in parts by weight ranging from 20/80 to 80/20, preferably, from 30/70 to 70/30.

摘要: An electro-developing type camera using an electro-developing recording medium on which an image is developed while an electric voltage is applied thereto. The image is read out from the electro-developing medium by a scanning mechanism. A color separation filter is disposed in front of the recording medium, so that R, G and B images are recorded on first, second and third recording areas, respectively. The color separation filter and the recording medium are disks rotatably provided. A photographing optical system is disposed at a first position at which the optical axis thereof is positioned above the rotational axes. The scanning mechanism is disposed at a second position at which the scanning mechanism is positioned under the rotational axes of the electro-developing recording medium and the color separation filter. Each of the recording areas is positioned above the rotational axes when a photographing operation of the recording area is carried out, and is positioned under the rotational axes when a reading operation of the image from the recording medium is carried out.

摘要: A casing of an optical reader comprises a reading head and a handle. The reading head includes a frame portion having a bottom opening of a parallelogram. A first switch and a second switch are provided on the frame portion, adjacent to the bottom opening. The first switch and the second switch are placed symmetrically and diagonally about the center of the bottom opening. When the first switch and the second switch are pressed and the tip ends of them become flush with the frame portion, they are turned on. The optical reading is controlled in accordance with the combination of the signals outputted from the first and second switches.

摘要: A new and improved thermal printing ink ribbon includes a heat-resistant base, a release layer disposed on the base including an ester wax and a rubber copolymer containing a specified aromatic monomer content and an ink layer disposed on the release layer by a solvent or hot-solvent process. The thermal printing ink ribbons exhibit satisfactory transferability even during high speed printing or after high temperature storage. The thermal printing ink ribbons are well suited for use in end face head-type printers.

摘要: Disclosed is a range finder system which includes a virtual image type first optical system for observing an object, and a second optical system for electronically capturing image of at least a part of the object. The range finder system is provided with an LCD (liquid crystal display) which displays the image captured by the second optical system. The image displayed on the liquid crystal display is directed to the virtual image type finder optical system, and the image as displayed on the LCD is combined with the image observed through the first optical system. Thus, two images are observed by a photographer as superimposed. A display controller controls the LCD so that the degree of coincidence of the superimposed images is varied in the direction of a base length based on an object distance information.

摘要: An optical system comprising a photographing optical system, a light splitting element to split a light incident from an object, and a finder optical system to which the light split by the light splitting element is directed. A surface of the light splitting element is constituted as a ghost prevention surface that prevents light incident on the finder optical system from the eye side from being reflected, thereby preventing the ghost light (i.e., the light which affects the object image) from being incident on an image pickup surface. Alternatively, a wall surface of a casing of the optical system is employed as a ghost prevention surface.

摘要: A thread groove type vacuum pump in which the gap between a rotor and a stator is not subjected to any influence of the rotor temperature and thus the pumping performance does not deteriorate during plasma combustion in a nuclear fusion reactor. The thread groove pumping portion is formed as a circular cone so that the expansion and contraction of the rotor occurs along the generatrix of the circular cone. The pump exhibits supreme pumping performance throughout the whole running mode of the vacuum pumping system of the nuclear fusion reactor because the gap between the rotor and the stator is kept constant despite changes of thermal expansion due to the temperature change of the rotor caused by the different gas loads.
