There is disclosed a spool type direction control valve for controlling the oil flow direction in a hydraulic circuit including a pressure source, a hydraulic cylinder and a spool member. A flow control mechanism is provided in an oil passage connecting one of the oil chambers of the hydraulic cylinder to the spool member. The flow control mechanism comprises a poppet type piston adapted for opening and closing the oil passage. When the spool member is switched over for supplying the pressure fluid to the other oil chamber of the hydraulic cylinder, the pilot pressure from the pressure source is caused to act on the piston in the valve opening direction, while the back pressure of the discharge side pressure fluid corresponding to the load acting on the one oil chamber is caused to act on the piston in the valve closing direction, so as to control the discharge flow of the pressure fluid from the one oil chamber.

This invention discloses a ventilating needle having a membrane-type filter stretched across the communication passage of a hub portion of the needle. In this invention, the membrane-type filter is of 2-ply type composed of a reinforcement layer and a water-repellent filter having a higher melting point than said reinforcement layer. This membrane-type filter is thermally adhered to a step portion formed in the inner wall of the hub portion through interfusion of the reinforcement layer and the step portion. This invention also discloses a method of assembling the ventilating needle in which a membrane-type filter is adhered to a step portion formed in the inner wall of the hub by means of ultrasonic waves.

The present invention provides a medical needle assembly comprising in part a hub and a protector, each discrete from the other and having a lumen passing continuously therethrough. A hollow needle is enclosed within the continuous lumens and fixed to the base of the protector. A thin-walled weak point for separation of the hub and protector is provided near to the periphery of the area of hub and protector attachment. The hub and protector are attached using a solvent capable of dissolving the hub and protector materials, or an adhesive, the use of a plasticized vinyl chloride polymer paste resin being especially desirable. The present invention also provides a medical device in which the above medical needle assembly is incorporated in, and forms part of, a tubing line connected to a container holding blood.

The disclosure relates to an overload protection apparatus for hoisting machines such as rope hoists or chain blocks. One gear incorporated in the reduction gear train of the hoisting machine is composed of an outer and an inner gear units between which torque is transmitted through resilient means acting therebetween. The resilient means are adapted to be compressed, upon receipt of an excessively large torque, i.e. in case of an overload, to allow a relative movement in the direction of rotation between the outer and the inner gear units. The relative movements of the gear units in the direction of rotation is then converted into a movement in the direction of thrust. Detecting switch is provided for opening an electric circuit for lifting, upon detecting the movement in the direction of thrust, thereby to stop the lifting operation.

To increase durability of the pinion gears the limit value is higher at a high engine rotation and low vehicle speed side than at a low engine rotation and high vehicle speed side.
