摘要: The present disclosure relates generally to systems, methods, and devices for interpreting neural signals to determine a desired movement of a target, transmitting electrical signals to the target, and dynamically monitoring subsequent neural signals or movement of the target to change the signal being delivered if necessary, so that the desired movement is achieved. In particular, the neural signals are decoded using a feature extractor, decoder(s) and a body state observer to determine the electrical signals that should be sent.

摘要: Systems for preparing butenes are provided. The systems can include a reactor inlet coupled to both a reactor and at least one reactant reservoir; at least one of the reactant reservoirs containing one or both of an aldehyde and/or ethanol; a catalyst within the reactor, the catalyst comprising a metal component and an acidic support material; and a reactor outlet operationally configured to convey a butene-rich reaction product to a product reservoir. Methods for preparing butenes are also provided. The methods can include exposing one or both of ethanol and/or an aldehyde to a catalyst comprising a metal component and an acidic support to form a butene-rich product that comprises one or both of 1-butene and/or 2-butene.

摘要: A multiband digital data network infrastructure comprises a network of access points (APs). Each AP includes a differential segmented aperture (DSA) comprising a two-dimensional array of electrically conductive tapered projections disposed on a support board, modular analog front ends (MAFE's) configuring the DSA for different respective wireless services, an in phase/quadrature (IQ) board, and one or more network cards. The network of APs support two or more different wireless communication protocols operating in different RF bands. In some embodiments, each AP of the network supports both a cellular service and a WiFi service using the same DSA. In some embodiments, the network of APs form a network of cell towers of a cellular service. In some embodiments, the network of APs form a network of APs of an indoor wireless network.

摘要: Shear-assisted extrusion processes for forming extrusions of a desired composition from a feedstock material are provided. The processes can include applying a rotational shearing force and an axial extrusion to the same location on the feedstock material. Devices for this can include a die tool defined by a die face extending from a rim of the die face inwardly at an angle greater than zero in relation to a sidewall of the die tool in at least one cross section; and/or a die tool defining an opening configured to receive feedstock material for extrusion and further defining a die face defining a recess within the die face and contiguous with the opening. Shear-assisted extrusion processes are also provided that can mix different portions of the feedstock material within a recess about the opening prior to feedstock material entering the opening; and extruding the mixed portions.

The system also includes a decontamination unit comprising: a controllable air heater and humidity control unit to controllably heat an ambient air source and to control a temperature and humidity of air within a decontamination chamber; a controllable vaporizer unit to controllably vaporize one or more decontamination agents by combining the controllably heated ambient air with the one or more decontamination agents; and controller circuitry to control a controllable air heater and humidity control unit to heat the ambient air to a selected level, and to maintain a selected heat and humidity within the decontamination chamber, and to control the controllable vaporizer unit to provide a selected flow rate of the one or more decontamination agents into the decontamination chamber.

摘要: A functional electrical stimulation (FES) device includes electrodes arranged to apply functional electrical stimulation to a body part of the user. FES stimulation is performed by: receiving values of a set of user metrics for the user; receiving a target position of the body part represented as values for a set of body part position measurements; determining a user-specific energization pattern for producing the target position based on the received target position and the received values of the set of user metrics for the user; and energizing the electrodes of the FES device in accordance with the determined user-specific energization pattern. The determination may utilize an FES calibration database with records having fields containing: values of the set of user metrics for reference users; energization patterns; and values of the set of body part position metrics for positions assumed by the body part in response to applying the energization patterns.
