The precursors are useful in chemical phase deposition processes, such as atomic layer deposition (ALD) and chemical vapor deposition (CVD).

In particular, signal transduction events may be monitored by the use of biosensors comprising protein-binding domains, which bind signal-transduction proteins, and fluorescent proteins. Provided herein, therefore, methods for detecting activation of signal transduction proteins or screening for agents that modulate the activity of signal transduction proteins.
