Abstract: The invention relates to a preform for producing a plastic container in a blow moulding method, comprising an elongated, preform body, which is formed so as to be closed at the one longitudinal end thereof and, at the other longitudinal end thereof, has a neck section having a pouring opening. The preform is produced from recycled PET and aliphatic furanoate, wherein the recycled PET has a maximum of 2.5 wt % of isophthalic acid and diethylene glycol, wherein the proportion of isophthalic acid is no higher than 2.0 wt %, and the proportion of diethylene glycol is no higher than 2.0 wt %, wherein all the percentages by weight are based on the total weight of the preform. Turbidity of the preform, measured in accordance with ASTM D I 003-00, is less than 5%, as a result of the admixture of the aliphatic furanoate.

Abstract: A bottle feeding device, including a bottom piece of a bottle body having a first perimeter wall and a top piece of a bottle body having a second perimeter wall. The top piece is pivotally affixed to the bottom piece and is rotatable with respect to the bottom piece about an axis extending generally orthogonally through the first perimeter wall and the second perimeter wall. A pair of detent features is provided to restrain the bottom piece and the top piece into either a first relative rotational position or a second relative rotational position. A nipple is operatively affixed to the top piece of the bottle by a nipple ring threaded onto the top piece of the bottle. A method of feeding an infant and of manufacturing the bottle are also provided.

Abstract: A plastic container includes a lower supporting base portion; a sidewall portion extending upwardly from the base portion; and a neck portion extending upwardly from the sidewall portion. The neck portion includes a tamper-evident formation, threads, and a dispensing opening at the top of the neck portion. In embodiments, a closure may be provided to form an assembly. In an embodiment, the weight of the neck portion is 2.3 grams or less; a vertical distance from the lower surface of the tamper-evident formation to a top of the dispensing opening is 0.30 or less; and/or the container may be filled with a beverage. In embodiments, the volume of the container may be at least 500 ml. A preform and method for making a container are also disclosed.

Abstract: An injection molded test-tube-shaped preform, which is subjected to biaxial stretch blow molding, includes a circumferential wall including a longitudinal strip-shaped portion that is made of a transparent or a semi-transparent B resin and that is formed in a longitudinal strip shape penetrating the circumferential wall in a circumferentially predetermined position in the circumferential wall over a predetermined height range. A remaining portion of the circumferential wall excluding the longitudinal strip-shaped portion is made of an A resin that is obtained by coloring a synthetic resin. A portion of the B resin constituting the longitudinal strip-shaped portion flows around an opposite side to the circumferentially predetermined position in which the longitudinal strip-shaped portion is formed, to be laminated in the vicinity of a portion of the circumferential wall made of the A resin that is close to an inner circumferential surface of the circumferential wall.

Abstract: A bottle for dispensing fuel additives into a capless filler system, the bottle configured with an elongated smooth neck designed for insertion into a capless filler opening to actuate and displace one or more flapper seals when emptying the fuel additives into the capless filler. The bottle is sealed with a cap with a first set of screw threads that engages the neck at a top portion with a second set of screw threads on an interior surface of the top portion of the neck. The length of the smooth elongated neck is at least half the length of a wider storage portion of the bottle. The cap can be a child proof cap. The bottle can be made of plastic that is clear or opaque.
