    摘要: A process and system for treating wastewater is described. The invention degrades sludge produced by treatment of the wastewater to reduce or eliminate the need for sludge dewatering and disposal. The invention also reduces the amount of nutrient additives required to sustain the aerobic wastewater treatment process. In one embodiment the invention includes the steps of (a) providing an aerobic treatment system receiving a supply of the wastewater; (b) treating a supply of the sludge to rupture microbial cells present therein to produce treated sludge having an increased liquid:solid ratio and an increased degradation potential in comparison to untreated sludge; (c) conveying a supply of the treated sludge to the aerobic treatment system; and (d) substantially degrading the supply of treated sludge in the aerobic treatment system. The treated sludge may optionally be subjected to anaerobic digestion prior to delivery to the aerobic treatment system.

    摘要: The present invention relates to a method and as apparatus for simultaneous removal of thiosalts and nitrogen compounds in waste water, wherein the amount of thiosalts in the waste water is larger than the stoichiometric demand for the autotrophic nitrogen removal. The apparatus comprises a bioreactor (1) including an autotrophic bacteria culture carrying out a denitrification process using the thiosalts as electron donors, having an inlet (3) for receiving the waste water, and an outlet (4) for discharging the purified water. The apparatus comprises an oxygen supply device (6) arranged to supply oxygen to the water in the reactor and a control unit (10) arranged to control the content of dissolved oxygen in the reactor such that the excess of thiosalts is oxidized by the oxygen at the same time as the denitrification process is maintained.

    摘要: The invention relates to an anaerobic water purification system, conversion kit and method for treating a liquid. The anaerobic water purification system according to the invention comprises: -a container for the liquid for treatment provided during use with a sludge bed; -a supply conduit operatively connected to the container for supplying the liquid for treatment; -a distribution system connected to the supply conduit for distributing the liquid over the sludge bed from above; -carrier material which is arranged during use in the container and to which anaerobic sludge material can attach; and -a gas roof arranged at or on the container and provided with a volume which can be adapted during use to the biogas production. The carrier material is preferably free-floating material. The discharge conduit for discharge of treated liquid is preferably connected to a riser pipe.
