    摘要: An apparatus for separating hot particles including a plurality of materials having different magnetic properties includes a plurality of permanent magnets arranged in a magnet assembly and configured to create a magnetic flux capable of providing a coercive force on at least a portion of the particles, the magnet assembly being mounted on a stationary shaft, a moving surface proximate the magnet assembly for carrying the particles in a downward path through the magnetic flux while the coercive force attracts the portion of the hot particles toward the moving surface, the moving surface being mounted on a drive shaft supported by a bearing, and an inert gas supply system which supplies inert gas into a gap between the stationary shaft and the drive shaft for cooling the drive shaft and the bearings, and into the magnet assembly for purging the magnet assembly of oxygen.

    摘要: Disclosed is a cooling and lubricating system (and method of use) for an RCD bearing/seal assembly comprising an internal conduit for directing fresh oil into the lower end of the bearing assembly where it can then progress upwardly through the bearing assembly and seals to provide cooling and lubrication to the internal bearings and rotary seals. The RCD system employs a small footprint oiler to deliver, via pressurized air, the oil to the RCD. Also disclosed is an RCD bearing assembly outfitted with the oil channel conduits for directing oil through the RCD bearing assembly to cool and lubricate the seals and bearings.

    摘要: A bearing system comprises a bearing configured to be mounted to a shaft. A bearing housing interfaces the bearing to a structure. An annular gap is defined between an outer annular surface of the bearing housing and the structure and configured to receive oil therein. An outlet defined in an outer section surface of the bearing housing is oriented toward a component axially spaced from the bearing. A fluid passageway between the at least one outlet and the annular gap for fluid communication therebetween. In use the fluid passageway directs pressurized oil from the annular gap to the outlet to reach the adjacent component. A method for using oil from a bearing to cool or lubricate a component axially spaced from the bearing is also provided.

Within the device, the fastening means comprise at least one injection sleeve provided with an outer thread coated with an anti-loosening adhesive film. The invention also relates to a mechanical system equipped with at least one such device.

    摘要: A rotor system for a reactive drive rotary wing maintains the rigidity of the rotor and eliminates play between flight controls and the rotor by mounting swashplate actuators to a flange rigidly secured to the mast. Apparatus and methods perform thermal management of the rotor in order to avoid bearing failure or loss of bearing preload. Methods include modulating the temperature of oil pumped over one or more of the mast bearing, swashplate bearing, and spindle bearing. The temperature of air passively or actively drawn through rotor may also be modulated to maintain bearing temperature within a predetermined range. The rotor includes structures for reducing pressure losses and drag on components due to air flow through the rotor. A rotor facilitates thermal management by oil and air flow.
