摘要: A kiosk robot includes a propulsion system configured to allow the kiosk robot to move within an operations venue, a wireless interface configured to allow wireless networked communication between the kiosk robot and a wireless network, a touchscreen display device, a memory device, and a processor. The robot is configured to receive, from a robot management system (RMS) and via the wireless interface, a relocation request identifying a service location within the operations venue and at which the kiosk robot is to provide kiosk functionality, in response to receiving the relocation request, control the propulsion system to navigate the kiosk robot to the service location, and provide a kiosk graphical user interface (GUI) using the touchscreen display device, the kiosk GUI provides kiosk functionality to a user at the service location.

摘要: Access control electronics for wireless locks comprise one or more battery operated radios that receive access control codes. The wireless accessed locks locate the electronic components, circuits, sensors and antennas and many of the lock components away from the container being secured and closer to the operator/user. The disclosed access control electronics combine a proximity detection circuit comprising sensor pads and a capacitive sensing circuit and one or more short-range radio frequency antennas for reading RFID devices. The proximity sensor pads are in close proximity with the antennas, without the antennas interfering with the proximity sensing process, and the sensor pads to not attenuate the signals between the RFID devices and the antennas after the RFID devices are detected.

摘要: Techniques are described for keyless entry to a structure (e.g., hotel room) utilizing a set-back box. Registrants (e.g., hotel guest) may scan a barcode from their mobile device to check-in to the structure. Upon scanning the barcode or by other means, a mobile device identifier (e.g., a Bluetooth low-energy address (BLE)) is registered and associated with the checked-in structure. Receiving the registered mobile device identifier, the backend server pushes such to the set-back box associated with (e.g., resides in) the checked-in structure. The set-back box is enabled (e.g., BLE enabled) to actively scan addresses of nearby mobile devices. When the registered mobile device identifier is detected within a predetermined signal strength range (e.g., by using received signal strength indicator (RSSI) levels), the set-back box transmits a command to a smart lock (e.g., via BLE or Wifi or other radio) or to a lock controlling backend processor, to open the lock.

摘要: An automated retail store system for providing automated storage of multiple items and scheduled handling of a customer order for said items at a single retail site, including: a store control system adapted to operate under the control of control signals generated based on order information for an order by a customer, said order information including information representing one or more items and a pickup time; a plurality of storage channels for storing different respective items; a retrieval system adapted to operate under the control of said store control system to: retrieve a plurality of said items in said order information from said channels, and place a plurality of said retrieved items into a delivery container; a conveyor system adapted to operate under the control of said store control system to: move said delivery container to either a storage rack or a locker compartment based on said pickup time, and move said delivery container from said storage rack to an available said locker compartment based on said pickup time; and a verification system adapted to operate under the control of said store control system to: verify an identity of said customer or a unique identifier for said order, and allow said customer to access said items in said locker compartment only when said identity or said identifier has been successfully verified.

摘要: Systems and methods are provided to generate an access code specific to a user of an online marketplace to use to enter a first accommodation during a first reservation time frame and a second accommodation during a second reservation time frame and to send the access code specific to the user to a computing device at the first accommodation and a computing device at the second accommodation to use to enter the first accommodation during the first reservation time period and the second accommodation during the second reservation time period. The access code is automatically removed from the computing device at the first accommodation and the computing device at the second accommodation at the end of the first reservation time period and at the end of the second reservation time period, respectively.

Automated forming means form an opening in each of the plurality of the shipping containers, storing means for storing the opened shipping containers, computer controlled retrieving means for entering into selected ones of the opened shipping containers via the formed opening to retrieve an article and moving means for moving the retrieved articles to an output are further included in the housing.

摘要: An automated resource management system for a retail business includes a point-of-sale system and an access control system in communication with the point-of-sale system. The access control system can be configured to detect, and/or receive a signal from, an electronic device associated with a customer of the retail store, such as a cellular phone. Upon automatic detection of a billable event (e.g., retrieving an item from a vending machine) while the access control system determines that the user is within the retail store, automatic billing or invoicing of the customer by the point-of-sale system can occur.
