Abstract: A linear motion assembly including a component having a longitudinal axis and adapted to translate along the longitudinal axis, and a bearing comprising a spiral body including a substrate and a low friction material, wherein the bearing extends around the component and provides a low friction interface for translation of the component, and wherein the bearing is adapted to prevent longitudinal translation of the component in a locked condition and permit longitudinal translation of the component in an unlocked condition. In an embodiment, the bearing is adapted to transition between the locked and unlocked conditions upon circumferential translation of an axial end of the spiral body, longitudinal translation of an axial end of the spiral body, or a combination thereof.

Abstract: A pressure-balanced shock absorber has an outer tube, an inflatable base, a piston tube, a valve adjusting rod, a piston base, an inner tube, and an adjusting resilient element. The inflatable base has a valve passage and a first valve core. The first valve core selectively seals the valve passage. The piston tube communicates with the valve passage. The valve adjusting rod is movably mounted in the valve passage of the inflatable base and the valve tube. The piston base is connected to the piston tube and has a piston passage. A second valve core selectively seals the piston passage. The inner tube is mounted around the piston tube. The piston base divides the inner tube into a first air chamber and a second air chamber. The adjusting resilient element is disposed in the piston tube to achieve the effect of inflating two air chambers.

Abstract: A flow path control device according to one embodiment includes a first valve, a unit main body and a control valve. The unit main body has an accommodation portion, a first radial communication hole and a side recess portion. The accommodation portion is recessed from a chamber accommodating the oil to cause the first valve to close the first radial communication hole. The side recess portion is recessed from the chamber so as to be continuous to the accommodation portion and not to be continuous to the first radial communication hole. The control valve is movable in the accommodation portion of the unit main body between a position at which a groove of the control valve communicates with the side recess portion and the first radial communication hole and a position at which the groove does not communicate with them.
