Abstract: A mobile application gateway configured to interconnect mobile communication devices on a cellular network with an enterprise network is provided. The mobile application gateway includes a voice and data signaling gateway configured to provide routing functionalities, service functionalities and admission control. A gateway GPRS support node (GGSN) is configured to establish a secure data session between one or more of the mobile communication devices and the enterprise network by establishing a GPRS tunneling protocol (GTP) tunnel between a carrier-hosted serving GPRS support node (SGSN) and the GGSN.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and instrumentalities are disclosed to describe reporting and/or reacting to a mobility event. A wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) may comprise a processor configured, at least in part, to establish a proximity service (ProSe) session with a second WTRU, detect the occurrence of a mobility event in a cellular network while the ProSe session is ongoing, determine a type of action to be performed with respect to the ProSe session based on one or more of the type of mobility event and type of ProSe session, and transmit a notification to a node in the cellular network, wherein the notification includes an indication of an action to be performed on the ProSe session. The node may be one of an evolved Node B (eNB), proximity server, or mobility management entity (MME). The node may be the second WTRU.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a method for reading a system message, including: receiving, by a terminal device, a paging message containing a system message state indication in a discontinuous reception (DRX) period, the terminal device includes a terminal device of which the DRX period is larger than a broadcast control channel (BCCH) modification period; determining, by the terminal device and according to the system message state indication in the paging message, that a system message state changes; reading and recording, by the terminal device, a system message corresponding to a current BCCH modification period, or reading and recording a system message corresponding to a next BCCH modification period immediately adjacent to the BCCH modification period; and communicating by the terminal device according to the read and recorded system message. Thus, the electric quantity of a battery can be saved, so that a UE can reduce power consumption.

Abstract: The embodiments herein provide a method and system for creating a secure connection for a User Equipment (UE) in a wireless network including a UE, carrier aggregated with at least one first serving frequency served by a first eNB and at least one second serving frequency served by a second eNB. A unique non-repetitive security base key associated with the second eNB is generated using a freshness parameter and security key associated with the first eNB. The use of a different freshness parameter for each security base key derivation avoids key stream repetition. Further, a user plane encryption key is derived based on the generated unique non-repetitive security base key associated with the second eNB for encrypting data transfer over at least one data radio bearer.

Abstract: According to an aspect, there is provided a method of operating a terminal device in a communication network, the network defining an extended period that comprises a plurality of predefined periods, each predefined period corresponding to the time taken to transmit a predefined plurality of frames, the method comprising receiving information blocks, IBs, broadcast by a network node in the communication network, each IB indicating a value for a relative shift indication for the predefined period in which the IB is broadcast; comparing the value for the relative shift indication for a current predefined period to a value for the relative shift indication for a predefined period preceding the current predefined period; and determining whether the current predefined period is a particular one of the predefined periods in the extended period based on the result of the comparison.

Abstract: A method of handling simultaneous communications comprises a first base station configuring a radio resource control (RRC) connection to a communication device; the first base station configuring a second base station as a secondary base station to the communication device; the second base station configuring a signalling radio bearer (SRB) to the communication device via the first base station; the second base station transmitting a second measurement configuration to the communication device; the second base station receiving a second measurement report corresponding to the second measurement configuration via the SRB from the communication device; and the second base station adding a secondary cell (SCell) of the second base station to the communication device, releasing a SCell of the communication device, or changing a primary secondary cell (PSCell) of the communication device via the first base station or via the SRB.

The policy responses may include charging rules, network access control rules, or other rules based on the resource usage of the IoT devices.

Abstract: A method for arranging media access control protocol data units (MPDUs) includes generating a multi-destination aggregated media access control protocol data unit (MD-AMPDU) at an access point. The MD-AMPDU includes a first set of one or more MPDUs having a first receive address associated with a first station and a second set of one or more MPDUs having a second receive address associated with a second station. The first set of one or more MPDUs is grouped together in the MD-AMPDU and the second set of one or more MPDUs is grouped together in the MD-AMPDU. The method also includes transmitting the MD-AMPDU to the first station and to the second station via an Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) 802.11 wireless network.

Abstract: This disclosure describes systems, methods, and computer-readable media related to adaptively changing availability of neighbor awareness networking (NAN) devices for post-NAN activities. In some embodiments, a first NAN enabled device may generate a NAN service discovery frame. The first NAN enabled device may transmit the NAN service discovery frame to a plurality of NAN enabled devices during a discovery window of the NAN. A request frame from a second NAN enabled device may be received based at least in part on transmitting the NAN service discovery frame. A response frame may be transmitted to the second NAN enabled device. A second NAN service discovery frame may be generated and include an updated availability bitmap based at least in part on data received in the request frame from the second NAN enabled device. The first NAN enabled device may transmit the second NAN service discovery frame.

The present invention is applicable to a scenario of communication between the UE and the base station.
