摘要: Methods and apparatuses for Multi-AP channel sounding for Wireless Area Networks (WLAN) are disclosed. A method performed by a beamformee may compromise: receiving, from a beamformer, a null data packed (NDP) announcement frame (NDPA); receiving, from the beamformer, an NDP frame; receiving, from the beamformer, an enhanced beamforming request poll (BFRP) trigger frame including an indication of a feedback format; and transmitting, to the beamformer based on the NDP and NDPA, using a format indicated by the feedback format of the BFRP trigger frame, a feedback frame including a feedback report. The trigger frame may be an enhanced beamforming report poll (BFRP) trigger frame. The feedback report may be a beamforming report or a vector index (VI) feedback report. The beamformer may be an access point (AP) and the beamformee may be a station (STA).

摘要: A portable birdfinding device comprising a plurality of PDM microphone sensors (e.g. a microphone array) coupled to processing electronics that electronically filter the acoustic signals to detect sounds from birds, and to interpret the acoustic signals to identify the angle-of-arrival (e.g. azimuth and elevation) and distance from which the bird sound is coming. Additional electronic processing may provide an identification of the bird species. In some embodiments, the microphone array may have sensors spaced so that sounds from distant birds have a different time of flight to reach the different microphone sensors, while having the spacing between microphones be less than half of the wavelength for sounds made by a predetermined bird species. The microphone array may be positioned onto an object wearable by the birdwatcher, such as a hat or a jacket. In some embodiments, the electronic processing may be carried out using a smartphone.

摘要: An example method of wireless data transmission may include determining a configuration of multiple antenna element nodes. The configuration may indicate a frequency band of operation for each of the multiple antenna element nodes and the configuration may be determined based on one or more network factors of multiple frequency bands. The method may also include selecting, based on the configuration, a signal path to couple to each of the multiple antenna element nodes from multiple signal paths. The multiple signal paths may each be configured to amplify signals carried thereon and at least two of the multiple signal paths may be coupled between each antenna element node and a common node. The method may further include directing, based on the configuration, wireless communications over the multiple antenna element nodes.

摘要: A system, method and apparatus for automatically enrolling wireless end devices with a base station and/or other device or system. A wireless end device is scanned using a smart phone's native capabilities, without the use of a downloadable, third party app. Information from the scan indicates the name of the base station to which enrollment is desired. The base station name is used in an mDNS request in order to determine a local IP address of the base station. When the IP address is returned to the local, wireless communication device, the wireless communication device sends an HTTP GET message comprising attributes of the end device. The base station receives the HTTP GET message and enrolls the wireless end device with the base station. The base station my further alert another base station, system, server or other entity of the enrollment. The base station may then send the local, wireless communication device a web page indicating that the wireless end device was successfully enrolled with the base station and/or other base station, system, server or entity.

摘要: During operation, an electronic device may encrypt an A-control subfield. Then, the electronic device may provide the frame addressed to a second electronic device, where the frame includes a media access control (MAC) header and the MAC header includes the A-control subfield that is encrypted. Note that the encrypted A-control subfield may be jointly encrypted with data in a payload in the frame. Moreover, the encrypted A-control subfield may be separated from the payload in the frame by one or more additional subfields or may be adjacent to the payload in the frame. Furthermore, the MAC header may include an indicator that indicates whether the A-control subfield is encrypted. Additionally, the frame may include a preamble that indicates whether the A-control subfield is encrypted. The frame may be received by the second electronic device. After receiving the frame, the second electronic device may decrypt the A-control subfield.

摘要: A system and method for micro-navigation of a mobile object (1000) is disclosed herein. Micro-navigation provides guidance to destinations that are not normally found on maps or in navigation systems. In one micro-navigation method, data is collected (1501) related to route transit to specific end points that are not typically mapped. The end points are identified (1502) by relating specific geo coordinates, or physical landmark based characteristics, or electronically described and defined end point to a an identification that will be entered and stored in a location database. Guidance (1503) is provided to vehicles traveling to those end points or destinations, with additional information relevant to a route and/or a specific vehicle and configuration updated and made available to the system.
