摘要: Methods for applying high shrink wrap labels to a shaped article are disclosed. The leading edge of the label is bonded to the article. A seaming agent is applied, and the label is wrapped around the article. The seaming agent is then exposed to radiation to cure the seaming agent, and the label is then exposed to heat to cause heat-shrinking. The label is made of a film with at least one external layer that has a Hildebrand solubility parameter. The seaming agent includes a component having a Hildebrand solubility parameter that is within 2.2 MPa1/2 or within 4.4 calories1/2·cm−3/2 of the Hildebrand solubility parameter of the external layer of the film. The seaming agent also has a viscosity of at least 1 centipoise and less than 1000 centipoise when measured at any temperature between ambient temperature and 60° C. Articles including such affixed high shrink wrap labels are also disclosed.

摘要: A photocurable composition is provided, which is characterized by comprising a polymerizable monomer component (A), an inorganic filler component (B) having an average particle diameter of 0.07 μm or more, an organic-inorganic composite filler component (C) comprising an inorganic filler component (C1) and an organic polymer component (C2) and having an average particle diameter of 0.5 μm or more, and a photopolymerization initiator (D), wherein the inorganic filler component (B) and the organic-inorganic composite filler component (C) are contained in a total amount of 100 to 1500 parts by mass relative to 100 parts by mass of the polymerizable monomer component (A), and the polymerizable monomer component (A), 90 parts by mass or more of the inorganic filler component (B) and 90 parts by mass or more of the organic-inorganic composite filler component (C) are selected in such a manner that specific requirements can be satisfied.

摘要: Provided herein are processes for the generation of composite polymer materials utilizing a single resin. The processes utilize diffusion between a region undergoing a polymerization reaction preferentially polymerizing one monomer component and an unreactive region. Diffusion and subsequent/concurrent polymerization results in a higher concentration of the more reactive monomer component in the reacting region and a higher concentration of the less reactive monomer components in the unreactive region. The unreactive region may be later polymerized. In embodiments, photopolymerization is used and the regions are generated by a mask or other mechanism to pattern the light.

The primer formulations contain a modifier selected from the following: at least one modifier selected from a) through d) below: a) R1R2C═CR3-(CO)—Z (Formula A), as described herein, b) an acrylate-containing oligomer that has a Mn≤1500 g/mol, and an acid value from 50 to 500 mg KOH/g; c) a random terpolymer comprising, in polymerized form, vinyl chloride, vinyl acetate, and at least one of the following: a hydroxyl-containing alkyl acrylate, a hydroxyl-containing alkyl meth-acrylate, or a combination thereof or d) any combination of a) through c). Such primer formulations are useful for the binding of olefin-based polymer foams.

摘要: This invention relates to a photoinitiator compound comprising: a polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane (POSS) moiety and a photoinitiator moiety, wherein the photoinitiator compound having the structure according to formula (I): [R—SiO1.5]n (I), wherein n is 6, 8, 10 or 12 and R is independently selected from the group consisting of H, linear or branched (hetero)alkyl, linear or branched (hetero)alkenyl, (hetero)aryl, (hetero)alkyl aryl, (hetero)aryl alkyl and a photoinitiator moiety, wherein at least one R is a photoinitiator moiety and the photoinitiator compound is a nanoparticle. The present invention also relates to a method for the production of the photoinitiator compound of the invention, a photopolymerizable composition comprising the photoinitiator compound of the invention, the use of the photoinitiator compound of the invention for photopolymerization. The present invention is further related to a coated substrate comprising the photopolymerizable composition of the invention.

摘要: Disclosed are an ink composition including light-absorbing nanoparticles and a photonic crystal structure formed using the same. The ink composition may include inorganic particles; monomer; photoinitiator; and nanoparticles light-absorbing nanoparticles to provide the photonic crystal structure. As consequence, problems such as low color sharpness, which makes photonic crystals visible, and attaining high productivity may be eliminated. Moreover, white scattering can be reduced, and thus a distinctive color can be exhibited even when there is a difference between a reflection angle and an observation angle of light, thereby improving visibility.
