摘要: A self-healing passive optical network is disclosed. The network includes a central office and a remote node connected to the central office through a main optical fiber. The remote node transmits one portion of power of the upstream optical signal, which has been input from each of the optical network units, to the central office, and returning a remaining portion of the power of the upstream optical signal to the optical network unit. The network also includes a plurality of optical network units connected to the remote node through a plurality of distribution optical fibers. Each of the optical network units transmits an upstream optical signal to the remote node through the directly connected distribution optical fiber, and detects abnormality occurrences from a state of the upstream optical signal returning from the remote node.

摘要: A method and apparatus for generating video packets and a method and apparatus for restoring video are provided. The method of generating video packets includes: generating at least one pixel block consisting of at least one reference pixel and a plurality of neighboring pixels adjacent to the at least one reference pixel from pixels of a video frame; replacing pixel values of the neighboring pixels in the at least one pixel block with pixel difference values, which are difference values between a pixel value of one of pixels adjacent to the neighboring pixels and the pixel values of the neighboring pixels; generating packets so that a pixel value of the at least one reference pixel and the pixel difference values of the neighboring pixels are allocated to different packets according to positions of the pixels; and performing entropy coding of some of the packets including the pixel difference values of the neighboring pixels.

摘要: Methods and apparatus for wireless charging are provided. Transmission power transmitted from a wireless power transmitter is received at a power receiver of a wireless power receiver. A battery of the wireless power receiver is charged with the received transmission power. It is determined whether the battery is fully charged. A packet from a communication unit of the wireless power receiver is transmitted to the wireless power transmitter when the battery is fully charged. An auxiliary charge of the battery is performed by receiving strength-reduced transmission power from the wireless power transmitter.

The run detection method includes a coefficient run detection method that detects a run based on pixel values, a pattern run detection method that detects the run based on whether the pixel blocks have a specified pattern, a difference run detection method that detects the run based on a difference value between two successive pixel values, and a residual run detection method that detects the run based on an error value that is a difference value between an actual pixel value and a predicted value.
