Abstract:
A data driver circuit and a delay-locked loop (DLL) are provided. The data driver circuit and DLL can operate normally in spite of errors, etc., caused when an analog data signal is applied to a display panel. The DLL, which receives a first clock signal and outputs a second clock signal, includes a phase detector for outputting a phase difference signal according to the first clock signal, the second clock signal and at least one delay signal, and a delay line for generating the second clock signal and the delay signal by delaying the first clock signal. Here, the phase difference signal has a value corresponding to a phase difference between the first clock signal and the second clock signal, according to the first clock signal or the second clock signal, and a value corresponding to a case in which there is no phase difference according to the delay signal, and a first delay that is a delay of the second clock signal with respect to the first clock signal changes according to the phase difference signal.
Abstract:
In a method of manufacturing a capacitor including a hemispherical grain (HSG) silicon layer, after forming a storage electrode electrically coupled to a contact region of a substrate, the HSG silicon layer is formed on the storage electrode by providing a first gas including silicon and a second gas onto a surface of the storage electrode with a volume ratio of about 1.0:0.1 to about 1.0:5.0. A dielectric layer and a plate electrode are sequentially formed on the HSG silicon layer. A grain size of the HSG silicon layer may be easily adjusted and abnormal growths of the HSG at a lower portion of the storage electrode may be suppressed. Therefore, the HSG silicon layer may be uniformly formed on the storage electrode, and a structural stability of the storage electrode may be improved to prevent electrical defects of the capacitor.
Abstract:
Provided are semiconductor devices and methods for configuring lead frames and/or device bonding pads to provide for the independent adjustment of the electrical characteristics of both fixed voltage lines, e.g., Vdd and Vss, and the signal lines, e.g., command, clock, data and address. In particular, the invention provides for adjusting the relative sizing of leads corresponding to fixed voltage lines and signal lines for increasing the relative capacitance on the fixed voltage lines to improve their stability will reducing the noise on the signal lines. The invention may be utilized with a variety of package configurations including lead-on-chip LOC configurations, more conventional quad flat pack QFP configurations in which the leads do not extend past the perimeter of the semiconductor chip or hybrid configurations in which some leads do extend past the perimeter of the semiconductor chip and across the active surface.

A water leakage detecting device for effectively detecting water leakage and sensing malfunctions in the device is disclosed. The device includes a base retaining water leaked from a tub, a detector detecting whether leaked water is retained in the base, a first signal generator outputting a signal, when the detector detects the leaked water, a second signal generator outputting a signal, when the detector does not detect the leaked water, and a controller deciding whether to drain the leaked water and determining whether the water leakage detecting device has a malfunction.

Abstract:
An optical pickup includes a variable iris having a numerical aperture is adjusted according to wavelength of light and can be compatibly used for discs having respectively different specifications. The optical pickup includes a plurality of laser sources respectively emitting light of different wavelengths, an objective lens for focusing the light emitted from the laser sources into an optical spot optimized to each information recording surface of the plurality of discs, at least one photo detector for detecting the light reflected from the information recording surfaces of the corresponding discs where the optical spot is focused and passed through the objective lens, an optical element for adjusting an optical path so that the light emitted from the laser sources is directed toward the objective lens and the light emitted from the objective lens is directed toward the at least one photo detector, and a variable iris coupled between the laser sources and the objective lens, selectively operating according to the wavelength. The optical pickup can be compatibly used for discs having respectively different specifications irrespective of the thicknesses of the discs. The variable iris selectively operates in the case that light of two or more wavelengths is used, to thereby provide an effect of accomplishing an optimal optical spot on the discs.
