摘要: An automotive data device, such as an audio player, for playing recording media of a different size includes a housing member housing a first player unit and a second player unit in a stacked arrangement. Each of the player units have insertion slots. A movable operating panel for controlling the respective first player unit and the second player unit extends across the respective insertion slots. A control unit can drive the movable operating panel in a first mode of operation to expose only the first insertion slot, while maintaining the operability of user controls on the operating panel. The control unit provides a second mode of operation to expose both of the insertion slots, while retracting at least a portion of the operating panel into the housing member below the lower insertion slot.

摘要: A rotary storage device includes a plurality of disk units, an upper-level interface circuit, a cache controller, a cache memory, and a control processor. In each disk unit, the storage area of each disk is subdivided into an ordinary user data area and a secondary cache data storage area including a group of consecutive cylinders. Data overflowed from the cache memory is sequentially written in the secondary cache data storage area so as to be later transferred therefrom to areas of the user data area according to addresses inherent thereto when traffic of upper-level input/output processing is relatively low. In the case of when data is sought to be accessed in the cache memory during a data read operation, access operations are performed first to the secondary cache data storage area and then to the user data area.

摘要: A method of gelation of a photographic emulsion, oil in water emulsion, or a gelatin-containing solution comprising continuously rapidly cooling the photographic emulsion, oil in water emulsion, or the gelatin-containing solution, which has good thermal efficiency and requires no adjustment of the amount of water contained in the rapidly cooled product prior to use, and a unit therefor comprising a static mixer-installed double pipe for rapidly cooling the photographic emulsion, oil in water emulsion, or the gelatin-containing solution by a conduction type heat exchange system, and a double pipe without static mixer for conveying the rapidly cooled product to a storage vessel while avoiding adhesion of the rapidly cooled product transformed into a gel state to the inside surface of the inner pipe of the double pipe by warming the inner pipe with water kept at 30.degree. C., although transformation of the rapidly cooled product to a gel state successively proceeds in an inner portion of the inner pipe.

摘要: A flow control having a wide flow rate range and excellent linearity between the degree of valve opening and flow rate. The valve includes a cylindrical or conical valve head formed on a circular-truncated-cone-shaped working face which is tapered towards the outlet of the valve with the valve head being located inside the outlet-side casing. With respect to the area of the valve opening defined by the valve head and the valve seat, the valve head is shaped so that the rate of change of the flow rate with valve stroke is small and linear, whereby fine control of the flow rate can be accurately achieved over the entire flow rate range. The valve stroke to fully open the valve occurs in the inlet-side casing. A servo motor or the like is employed as the drive source for operating the valve.

摘要: A thermosetting resin composition is disclosed which comprises a fusible product obtained by a method including the steps of:providing a mixture which comprises (a) a raw material containing one or more condensed polynuclear aromatic compounds having at least two condensed benzene rings, (b) a crosslinking agent containing an aromatic compound having one or more aldehyde groups directly bonded to the aromatic nuclei thereof, and (c) an acid catalyst; andreacting the mixture at a temperature sufficient to effect the crosslinking of the one or more condensed polynuclear aromatic compounds, thereby to obtain the fusible product. A further heat treatment of the thermosetting resin composition gives a COPNA resin which is an infusible, insoluble, condensed, polynuclear aromatic hydrocarbon resin.
