摘要： A paint circulating system back pressure regulator comprises a flow passage for paint, at least part of which is disposed between a fixed structure and a moveable surface which is moveable to vary the width of the flow passage so as to regulate a pressure of paint upstream of the regulator. The regulator is also provided with a chamber having an opening for communicating with a supply of a pressurized fluid for controlling operation of the regulator.

摘要： A composition for the intranasal delivery of fentanyl or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof to an animal includes an aqueous solution of fentanyl or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof and a pharmaceutically acceptable additive selected from (i) a pectin and (ii) a poloxamer and chitosan or a salt or derivative thereof; provided that when the composition comprises a pectin it is substantially free of divalent metal ions; and which, in comparison to a simple aqueous solution of fentanyl administered intranasally at the same dose, provides a peak plasma concentration of fentanyl (Cmax) that is from 10 to 80% of that achieved using a simple aqueous solution of fentanyl administered intranasally at an identical fentanyl dose. A method for treating or managing pain by intranasally administering the composition is also disclosed.

摘要： A device for applying successive resilient ligating bands to tissue is described. A sleeve has an opening at a front end thereof, and axially extending arms having axially extending spaces therebetween. Band-support surfaces located on the arms extend from the front end for accommodating a plurality of ligating bands. A first tube around which the sleeve is located, is reciprocal relative to the sleeve and has axially extending fingers provided with forward-facing pushing surfaces. Means are provided for drawing tissue to be ligated into the opening. In use, the pushing surfaces push the bands forwardly so that they ride along the band-support surfaces of the sleeve to each lie nearer the front end, a foremost band being pushed off the front end of the sleeve onto the tissue.

摘要： The invention relates to a liquid paint pumping apparatus comprising a piston reciprocable in a cylinder to pump liquid paint during a substantially horizontal pumping stroke of the piston and to charge the cylinder with paint during a reverse stroke of the piston. The apparatus further comprises a check valve disposed within the piston, the check valve comprising: a ball member, a seat, a spring urging the ball member into engagement with the seat, and a plastics cage guiding movement of the ball towards and away from the seat. The seat receives the ball member so as to form a seal to prevent flow of liquid paint between the ball and the seat during the pumping stroke of the piston, and the ball member moves away from the seat during the reverse stroke of the piston.

摘要： A transfer of control to a batch application is intercepted, wherein a batch front-end routine receives control in place of the batch application and performs initialization processing. This initialization processing comprises issuing a DLI restart call and issuing a DLI checkpoint call. If the DLI restart call returns a checkpoint ID, then one or more databases associated with the batch application are repositioned. The transfer of control to the batch application is then resumed, whereby the batch application restarts from the checkpoint ID, if the checkpoint ID was returned by the DLI restart call, in a manner transparent to the batch application.

A simulated supervisory circuit detects a state in which all the operations have been completed, and also determines the amount of time until the occurrence of the next relevant event. A member module is included to determine a set of PDS members to search based on the search criteria. A scan module is included to scan a record contained within each member of the set of PDS members. A determination module is included to determine whether a record satisfies the search criteria, where the search criteria comprises at least one expression that identifies a record that lacks a specified character string of the at least one expression. A return module is included to return the determined record. Each record in the scanned PDS has any length within a range supported by an operating system maintaining the scanned PDS.
