摘要： A nicotianamine synthase is isolated and purified. Then the gene of this enzyme is cloned and the base sequence and amino acid sequence thereof are determined. This gene is employed in constructing plants, in particular, grass plants highly tolerant to iron deficiency. A nicotianamine synthase involved in the mugineic acid biosynthesis pathway; the amino acid sequence thereof; a gene encoding the same; a vector containing this gene; cells transformed by the vector; a process for producing nicotianamine by using the same; plants transformed by the gene encoding the nicotianamine synthase; and an antibody against the nicotianamine syntase.

The first carcass ply 9 has a body portion 9A extending from a tread portion 2 to a bead core 5 through a sidewall portion 3, and a wound up portion 9B which is folded back from inside to outside around the bead core 5. The body portion 9A is provided with the wound up portion 9B. The second carcass ply 10 includes an inserting portion 10B2 which passes between a wound up portion 9B and the body portion 9A of the first carcass ply 9 from the tread portion 2 through the sidewall portion 3. The inserting portion 10B2 enters a bead apex 6 and is terminated therein.

摘要： A tubeless pneumatic tire is provided including a carcass having a carcass cord web and topping rubber layers covering the opposite sides of the carcass cord web, the carcass extending from a tread portion through a sidewall portion to a bead portion and turned up around a bead core outwardly from the inside of the tire in the axial direction of the tire, wherein only the inner one of the topping rubber layers which faces the inside of the tire is made of a butyl-based rubber. The tubeless pneumatic tire is of lightened weight and exhibits anti-airleak property comparable or superior to that of conventional one even if it is provided with no inner liner.

摘要： A producing method of a steel cord play includes first and second topping steps. In the first topping step, a first topping rubber is concentrically attached to a periphery of each steel cords. With this, steel cords having rubber which are pre-coated with the first topping rubber are formed. In the second topping step, a second topping rubber is attached to at least one surface of a steel cord array in which the steel cords having rubber are arranged, thereby forming a sheet-like steel cord ply. The first topping step is carried out immediately before the second topping step.

摘要： A first insulating layer is formed on semiconductor substrate, and a trench is formed in the first insulating layer. An amorphous silicon layer doped with impurities is formed on a side and bottom walls of the trench. Next, a resist material is partially filled in the trench so that an upper portion of the amorphous silicon layer is exposed. The exposed portion is implanted with impurity ions. After removal of the resist material, the amorphous silicon layer is heat treated so as to grow hemispherical grains on its surface.
